Hasbrouck park in Kingston NY is one of the best parks I've ever seen . It has one of the most beautiful views of the Hudson River Valley in the area. It has a pavilion for picnics and a playground, it also is the best winter sledding spot in Kingston

The hill was slick! And just as harrowing an experience as I remember it was 25 years ago. Happy to introduce my kids and friends to it today.

Beautiful Park and very nice playground. A few notes:

the entrance is a little hard to find, it's a fairly narrow road next to a few homes. parking for the playground is immediately on your left after entering the park. follow the park road up to the top of the hill for the pavilion and lovely views of the river. the trail is through the woods, walking only, not suitable...

The city claims the park is open dusk until dawn, but they actually close it at their convenience, so be forewarned if you have plans taking you within an hour of sunset, you may be asked to leave. This happened to us this evening while having an outdoor gathering with the local Cub Scout Pack, about 45 minutes...

Best views of the Hudson River from any Kingston park! The trails through the park are pleasant and unexpectedly amazing. Best unsupervised sledding in Kingston when it snows. Unfortunately, the park is littered with trash. Please bring in an empty trash bag when you visit and carry...
