We took my husband for Father's day, knew would be busy wasnt worried about that. We were seated, waited over 10mins for anyone to come over to take our drink order. They seated 2 other tables after us. Finally, after gentlemen who seated us saying something to one of waitresses about helping us whom in which tried pushing off to another waitress. Finally someone came over to take our drink order, before left asked if we knew our order of course we did we been sitting long enough to figure that out. So placed our drinks, app and dinner all at once. Within another 10 mins here comes the cook to start cooking our meal. We still have not received our drinks or our apps. The other tables after us have received their drinks. My one daughter is extremely picky so we ordered chunky breaded chicken pieces. While he was cooking our food, they brought her dish out which was incorrect I have no idea what they brought her. I stopped our cook asked for our waitress. She never came over, someone else did explained still haven't received our drinks, our apps, he coming our meal and no idea what they just gave my daughter. Told what I requested. So they finally bring out our apps, drinks they messed mine up no idea what brought me corrected that, in return what I ordered was completely disgusting couldn't drink it. So cook rushing as cooking our food, getting all over place as I know as placing on plates it tends to hit the table, but this was completely different, they I ordered chicken and steak well didn't bring enough chicken had to go get more. They bring my daughters anther dish in which it turned out to be same thing already brought her that was not what ordered, explained again, they brought menu I pointed out what wanted by time we all were done with our food waiting for more drinks which never came waiting for someone to give us to go boxes and our che k as the complete meal and service sucked. My daughter's meal finally came as our last to go box was stuffed with the leftovers. You think you would receive an apology for this mishalf? Anything nope, the protein portions sorry aren't worth it. We love going here bit tonight was don't know work going back again. For what we pay, hell we got no fancy show, no food toss, for volcano, socky nothing, rushed cooked our meal and moved on. Very very...

We have been going there for YEARS, for birthdays, graduations, and just general dinner dates in small and large groups leaving $100 plus tips at a time. This was by far the worst experience we ever had, we had a group of 17 people, split between 2 tables which is no big deal to us we’re used to being split up there when we have a larger group. The staffs behavior today was beyond acceptable, I tried to excuse the last time I went during lunch with just my husband and parents as maybe just a fluke after we sat there for over 20 minutes after being seated without being helped while staff were ALL sitting down on their phones pretending like we didn’t exist; however today’s service was horrendous. From spilling hot soup on my uncle (table 1) with minimal apology then our waitress yelling at my aunt(table 2) due to the waitress being confused over what meal she had ordered then proceeding to trash talk my aunt with other employees, and the repeated dirty looks from the short older woman. I’m not sure what has changed in the last few months but the atmosphere is god awful and the food has been subpar at best, it’s to the point where we’re advising the rest of our family and friends to find a new favorite habachi restaurant. It’s beyond disappointing to receive such poor service after 15 years of being...

We went as group of 12. I person ordered sushi and 11 had habatchi. We had to ask 3 times for drinks and only got a round after order was taken twice and food was being plated. The initial waiter was rude, argumentative and clearly unstable. We spoke to another waiter and he was removed from our table. A waitress then came over and took the beverage order again. 10 minutes went by and still no drinks. We then had the sloppiness habatchi chef I have ever seen in my life. Food was spilled everywhere. The waitress never got back to our table for additional drink orders through the entire meal. The sushi and starters never arrived even though we told the waitress and table chef 3 times. Then they added a $45 tip to the bill. The police came after our meal was served to remove the unstable waiter after he assaulted another staff member. Basically no management or professionalism at all. Thank god the police were professional because the unstable waiter should never been allowed to be in public view. Walking around the dining room arguing with himself and everyone else. I have been here many times in the past and the quality continues to dwindle. I think this will be all of...

I enjoyed the food and service overall! I found their sauces to lack flavor and their cucumber salad was made like a day before, because the cucumbers were limp... also I feel giving out canned pineapple is just lazy and feels like something you get at a buffet, if your gonna give out something to add to the meal, then put effort into it or don’t do it at all! This place also needs an update the decor is crooked and wrinkled up and photos all over the walls of previous guests and the ceiling tiles are very nasty needs a deep clean and some new carpet/flooring. So the atmosphere and the things that come with your meal (soup, salad, and pineapple dessert?) lol we’re not up to par...I’d rather I’ve just not got them ...so I give it one less star. The things I did order were good!

Delicious food, and great atmosphere in the historic kingston waterfront district. Whether your looking for classic Japanese-american faire, or dinner and a show with hibachi this is one of the best spots in kingston. Wait staff were super attentive and polite, and the fish was fresh and refreshing. I love that they brought pickled cucumber to the table as an appetizer and pineapple chunks at the end. My date had the shrimp tempora, which was fried to perfection, and I ate an entire sushi boat for 2 that was super tasty and exquisitely prepared. Also had was some edamame and baby octopus. The entire meal was great and I loved the atmosphere of hibachi everyone was having so much fun! Would definitly recommend and can't wait to come back with a bigger party for hibachi.

Charming Japanese restaurant for Kingston n.y area. Offers Teppanyaki style and individual table's .Fresh sashimi, sushi, nice touch with complimentary oshinko, shrimp/vegetable tempura, light and fresh, delicious ,gyoza fried well. Yaki-tori (chicken) would taste better if grilled instead of boiled and sauce added. ingredient's fresh and chef is very accommodating if you have food allergy they will make sure you are happy. Nice size portions also a plus. You won't leave hungry. You won't be disappointed if you stop by for a bite. $$$
