There's not another place in New York that has as much to offer as Kingston's waterfront. Such as, trolley car rides to the Kingston Lighthouse, ferry boat rides, live music on the pavillion, block parties, 5-star al fresco restaurants, and the list goes on! The Kingston waterfront is the "New Orleans" of New York!

Was in Kingston for business... since I had fishing gear in the back of my car I decided to go fishing in the early evening. Not a lot of places to fish in this particular area. I did catch a small mouth bass off of some little platform that I can only assume is for fishing?

If you like maritime, posh towns, and a happening place, this is the place for you. We attended the 4th of July fireworks with music, food trucks, and magic exploding in the sky and all with a tug boat sitting behind us. Now, that is a unique experience.

T. R. Gallo park is a beautiful little waterside park in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Kingston. It's very well maintained and laid out. There is a long paved walk along the waterside opposite Dock Island which is lined with small marinas. It's adjacent to the Hudson Maritime Museum, the dock where the Rip Van Winkle launches, and many restaurants and shops. There is a public boat launch in the form of a large floating dock directly under the Wurts Street Bridge. It is low and perfect for launching kayaks and other small cartop boats that launch by hand. Parking for the launch is a line of spaces directly under the bridge. There are slips for larger craft nearby but no back-in launch at the park. Be aware that parking in the lot is at a premium at peak times. It gets really busy during the summer. Be sure to...

This park itself is really nice, like something out of the third act of a Meg Ryan movie. Immediately on either side of it is more like something out of Scooby Doo, especially at night. One side is old ships and boat equipment, and then the pitch black of the water, on the other side is under the bridge, bridges known for having the creepiest undersides of all man made structures.

It's a...

Admittedly it was a cold day when we went down there hoping to get some good photos in. The area was frozen over a bit, but it looked like a nice little place to walk around by the water and see the bridges without having to take a long hike like you do in other places nearby. It looks like there is a lot to do down by the waterfront as well in terms...
