Lovely new spot in the historic waterfront area of Kingston, NY. They’d planned to open last spring but COVID delayed their launch until summer; they’re preparing delicious burritos, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, vampiros, rice bowls and elote street corn. Having just read about the ‘birria boom’ in the NY Times earlier this month, I was thrilled to try their birria quesatacos (see their IG post below) - absolutely delicious with a very tasty broth to dip with & drink. They’d originally only made it on weekends, but it’s proven so popular that they have it on the specials menu daily now. The owner also knows his way around some excellent mezcal from Oaxaca in Mexico (see their IG post below), and offers flights to sip with the traditional orange slice and Tajin chile & lime seasoning... he also makes a mean house margarita as well. Delicious new spot, and great people. Will definitely be back! Oh yeah, note they don’t actually deliver, so reviews talking about delivery aren’t being fair. You can however pick up take-away (with cocktails) or eat in.

We decided to stop by and have lunch here as it was recommended by a friend. Staff are very pleasant. I understand that on the strand restaurants come and go and it’s costly to make the interior look nice. It’s not that in inviting and doesn’t remind me of a Mexican restaurant. So we ordered drinks and that’s a very limited menu for non-alcoholic and a basket of chips. The chips were really good. Personally I ordered the Birria taco. It came out piping hot and very delicious. I was not a fan of the rice and beans as the rice in my opinion was overcooked. I also tried the surf and turf burrito and was not a fan of it. The other two in my group decided to have a chicken quesadilla which they reported was very delicious. I would return to the spot to maybe have drinks out on their patio area, but it was raining out when I went so obviously not going to sit outside and enjoy the day.

The guac and chips are a must - a great snack for the group. The guac had a nice zest, some of the best I’ve had. I got a strawberry margarita and the mango shrimp taco and al pastor taco - all reallyy good. Our group of 11 pushed some tables together - the biggest table they have seats 4, so we were glad they could accommodate . The interior design feels a bit bare but has a cohesive theme. Service was not the best - we had to ask for some waters and grabbed the pitchers ourselves. Otherwise though, the food and drinks were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food

If you're craving fresh, authentic tacos that pack bold flavors in every bite, look no further. These tacos are an absolute delight, with each ingredient tasting as though it was hand-picked and prepared with the utmost care. The tortillas are warm, soft, and perfectly grilled, adding just the right amount of texture to complement the fillings. Whether you opt for the tender carnitas, the smoky grilled chicken, or the perfectly spiced barbacoa, every bite bursts with rich, savory flavors. The toppings are fresh, from the crisp cilantro and onions to the tangy lime wedges that brighten up the dish. And don’t even get me started on the house-made salsa – it’s the perfect balance of heat and zest. These tacos are a must-try for any taco lover searching for an authentic and satisfying experience. You won't be...
