This park is beautiful and fantastic! Came here on a weekend and there are parking rules for weekends only from now until June 24th 2021, and then it’ll be weekdays and weekends with the parking rules in effect, the parking rules for this park are:
-$5 for New Rochelle Residents (All Day Parking)
-Free parking for New Rochelle Park pass holders (Westchester County Park Passes will not work at this park as this park is a City owned park and not by Westchester County)
-Non residents, however, are not allowed to park in the parking lot, but you can walk into the park. So if you are a non resident, you might just want to park on the street and walk in, as the workers at the booth will not let you park here if you do not live in New Rochelle. If not, your best bet would be to go to Glen Island as that park is now open for Westchester residents!
Also, FYI, this park doesn’t allow fishing and portable BBQ grills at all… Dogs 🐶 are allowed here but they have to be leashed at all times. The rules for parking are really stupid and frustrating, but off season is the best bet so you won’t have to worry about the parking rules and you can enjoy the park!
I hope this review is very helpful to anyone looking to check out this awesome park in New Ro and I also hope this clarifies the park’s parking rules especially for people that are from outside of...
Read moreI used to go there all the time when I lived in NY. I'd ride my scooter there, inpack my newspaper grill, throw that chicken and burgers on, roll up a nice one, and sit back and enjoy my music or YouTube, play on my PSVita. It was great. Just me and that amazing view of the Long Island Sound. I swear it almost felt l could see Europe or something (LI Sound🙃). If you're in the area take time to check it out. Parking prices, meh. Take a scooter instead if you have it. Depending on the day, it gets crowded, especially in the evening. There are events, an amphitheatre (kinda), a bar grill up the street. I dunno about fishing cuz it wasn't on my menu. Don't hesitate to visit this beautiful cool out in...
Read moreIt is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors with a scenic view of the water. 🪸 It is the place to go for a walk, have a picnic, or play with your pups (I think they're allowed). 🐕🦺
Here are some pointers:

Overall, Davenport Park is a pleasant place to relax, have fun, and...
