Pizza Centre — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

The 4.5 average rating is baffling to me. This is, by far, the grossest pizza I’ve had in Westchester. I ordered a small plain cheese and one “margarita” (in quotes because that’s what it was supposed to be) pizza, and received two soak-it-up-with-a-sponge level greasy pies with zero flavor. The cheese on the margarita was clumped together (probably heated then reheated several times) and had this very off, unsettling texture, like a chewy “web”. One of only two pizza places I go to in my area. The other, sadly, has closed. So now Pizza Centre is THE ONE. If you've never been, go. This is what people talk about when they talk about New York Pizza. Pretty much every slice you could ever think of, plus more. Top to bottom, best slices and pies for your money. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean facility, customer bathroom available and reduced seating capacity at the moment. Located in little strip-mall. Had the worst experience of any pizza place ever. I got 2 chicken bacon ranch slices which was 10 dollars. It comes out the oven and I asked if he could put a little extra ranch on top cause it was dry from sitting out for a while. He takes it too back room puts a little sauce and than tells me it’s gonna be 50 cents. I told him are you serious? He said nothing in life is free. I told him than I don’t want the pizza.
