This restaurant was my top diner until my experience on Monday August 13. I ordered the steak and eggs for breakfast, I ordered the steak well and instead I received a rare steak with blood already in the pan. Upon calling the restaurant I spoke with the manager who didn't give me his name but decided to laugh in between our conversation about the steak. He never once apologized for the restaurants mistake and was trying to rush me off of the telephone. He stated that he could make me a new order and will be compensating me 2-3 dollars after I asked how was he going to handle this situation. When my new food arrived the meat was chewey so I didn't eat it and saved it for my dog, I did not receive any utensils or A1 sauce. I wasn't sure if he wanted me to use what I had from the other order because that would have been unsanitary. I called back today this time to speak to someone higher than him which he then informed me that he was the General manager, I asked was he also the owner of the restaurant he started to laugh and then replied yes. He was being extremely sarcastic about the situation at that point I decided to end the conversation because he was being unprofessional and I felt he was making a mockery out of the situation. I called back to get his name , the employee stated that he was not there he stepped out. So I asked the employee for his name in which the gentleman stated that he could not give out that information. In my 25 years of management I never heard of such, before I could say anything else the gentlemen disconnected the call. I was being very polite and professional and I did not deserve to be treated in that manner. Customer service is suppose to be one of their top priorities as I have learned in my years with management, regardless of how good the...
Read moreWent here for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning on the advice of a family member. We originally attempted to go to the New Rochelle Diner, but it was jam packed with people waiting out the door. We had a fantastic breakfast at the Shore Road Café! The food was fast, fresh and delicious. I had the Popeye omelet with spinach, mushrooms and swiss, side of home fries and whole wheat toast. My DH had pancakes and sausage. The service was excellent - our server and others could not do enough for us. When our bill came, it was at around $10 cheaper than what we would have spent at the New Rochelle Diner for the same meal, so we were quite happy. The only downside is the décor - I find it kind of dark inside as it is painted blue; a nice color, but too dark for a restaurant. We will definitely go...
Read moreThe owner is beyond rude and unprofessional, I’ve been going to this diner since 1996, and by far the service has gone downhill… since it took new ownership. I used to be a regular until they began to forget items in my delivery orders. The owner took no accountability for anything and even became offended at his mediocre service, thereafter her refused to service me. The last straw is when I just recently ordered and he told me “I don’t want you asking me prices I have no time for that” I guess in Mexico 🇲🇽 Where he is from they service loyal clients like this!! Beyond...
