Krudco Skate Shop — Attraction in City of Rochester

Absolutely stellar experience. Went in on 8/24/25 and Alan was there to help me. I only knew a little bit about building boards, basically just the names of each part and he explained the differences between each piece from board sizes, to truck width, spacers to offset trucks, wheel sizes, and differences in bearings! These dudes are the real deal. I didnt go in with the intent of buying my first board that day, just learn more about them, and he let me take a board off the wall and stand on it on the carpet to see how it feels and compare the sizes as well as incline of the tail. Ended up picking out all my parts and building it on the spot, zero pressure at all, just a really great environment and atmosphere. I’ve heard the name Krudco for at least 20 years (after all, they’ve been around since 1994), but not being a skateboarder, I thought it wasn’t for me. But now they carry roller skates! Not only that, they will build custom skates, too! Bettie Pain, skate technician, is really passionate about what she does. She’s extremely knowledgeable and will answer all your questions.

The shop is bright, clean, and organized, and I’ve felt welcomed since the first time I walked in. I’m usually greeted by a voice before I can even see a face. They don’t follow you and pressure you to buy things, but they will fully assist you when you need it. It’s the perfect balance!

The owner really knows his stuff on 'skateboarding' and has extreme knowledge of the whole sport. I highly recommend coming to krudco. to get your skateboard needs (boards, shoes, clothes, trucks, hardware, wheels, helmet ect). Plus, it's a small business in rochester, and we want those to succeed. Zumiez sold me a warped board and i just returned it and went to krudco. and i am so happy i did. I just bought all my stuff from krudco. Everyone in there is chill. Definitely come here, and not big corporations (zumiez) that don't even care about you.
