Learn moreWent to see a show on a Saturday night. There were some positives and negatives about our experience.
First and foremost, DO NOT park at midtown parking garage. There is a parking garage for the theater that has a elevator into the building but we could not find the entrance for it. Right next to the building there is a big sign that says park here. That is midtown parking garage. There are street entrances but they close at 9pm. When you get out of your show you will be locked out. There were groups of people at a loss of what to do to get to their cars.
There were not many signs to indicate where to go to get into the building. This was a bit confusing if you did not use their parking garage. The owner said they are working on getting more signs and have done their best with social medial and Google to help find the right location but if you are not tech savvy this could cause some problem.
There is no bar or restaurant but there was a table where they were selling cold water and soda.
The theater itself was very inviting. Seating was comfortable and it was a smaller setting which had a nice vibe. Handicapped friendly with elevators, wide aisles, and large family bathrooms. Could do with some more acoustic panels to help with the sound. Lights and projections were well done.
Despite the parking situation this is a nice theater and another great option for entertainment in Rochester. The owner said that they opened the theater with their life savings and are working hard to make something great and I hope that in time they can add some simple (but costly) things like signs and a bar to help bring...
Read moreThe theater itself was nice, and the seats were comfortable. We definitely enjoyed our experience, and the show was fabulous. If the theater had no relationship to their garage, they'd get five stars for what they are - but they do. And, the garage might get two stars for being clean and safe, but that's it.
We came from out of town, so weren't familiar with Rochester. It took forever and a lot of stress to find the entrance to the theater's garage even though they really tried to help with detailed directions on their website. The extent of those directions suggests other people have also had trouble, and we really wish there were better signage.
It turned out that most local folk had parked on the street, which I wish we'd done. The area seemed quiet and reasonably safe, and street parking is free. We paid $10 for the theater's garage, but that was definitely a mistake. If we had it to do over again, we'd 100% park...
Read moreGood place for live music. Good seating with good views of the stage, could acoustics, sound system is excellent.
However, the bathrooms are lacking in a most superior way. You have to take stairs just to use the bathroom cuz there are no bathrooms on the main floor where you enter the auditorium. You have to climb like two flights of stairs to get to any bathroom. Now there is an elevator. One. Try to catch an elevator to go up or down during intermission, good luck. They need to do better. There's more bathrooms on upper levels as well. It's not user friendly at all. Anytime I go there the bathrooms are not clean and papers need to be restocked. You think they would put some effort into making this accessible to all people.
The entrances are also very tight, only one way in or out. I really don't like going here because of the limited ways of egress and lack...
