A wonderful old building turned into a fabulous venue. Charming ,warm and inviting. I ordered a local favorite, Carne Asada, on taco Tuesday (they were very busy) I loved every bite. Kiss the cook delicious. I had a “special” cocktail (half the liquor) with Pomelo as the main ingredient. The tartness perfectly complimented the richness of the Carne Asada dish. I also ordered the loaded nachos with brisket. That will be my meal next time I’m in Rochester. It was perfect.. the brisket was tender and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend this trendy homey restaurant. It’s a great vibe with great food. The staff was also very good and entertaining. Rob , the waiter, offered up advice for sight seeing and general information for taking in the best places to go. (Homemade chips and salsa offered at table..Very good !!)

Great atmosphere with 2 levels of dining space indoors a large bar that they converted into indoor space during the pandemic shut down and also a large fenced in deck in the back with picnic tables. Loved the pictures which were morbidly cute with figures of day of the dead. Service was great and food was good. A little chilly in the deck the fast we were there so it would have been nice if they had heaters for cooler days. The chips with queso with chorizo was genius! Also I love flautas so strange to find that they were not fried as they usually are in other Mexican restaurants. They were otherwise very good. Tacos also looked tasty and the margaritas were good. Overall quite enjoyable.

Satisfies the need for Mexican food. (Scan for menu in pictures) I ordered the verde chicken enchiladas and the rice and refried beans tasted decent, but the enchiladas had a very good flavor, so I'd recommend. The salsa is just a little sweet, but everything else tasted fine. Nothing besides the salsa that came with the chips were spicy, which I was a little disappointed by, but I guess it would be good for people who don't like spicy food. If you need somewhere that helps a craving I believe this place could work, not the best, but definitely not the worst.

Overall I will honestly say I have only had great experiences at this restaurant for the past year and decent food but recently I easily had the WORST experience I not only had at this location but In restaurants in general unfortunately..before I came to the restaurant I have heard from a couple of people that the restaurant does some shady things behind the scenes especially regarding to racial profiling and just overall not treating people of color with the same respect, and trust me I aa very open person whenever I hear anything as serious as racial profiling I typically don’t necessarily believe it until I see it for my self and this day was EXACTLY what happened…As soon as me and my girlfriend walked in as we usually do to be seated off the rip the hostess (Abby is her name unless they lied) made it clear that she had an attitude and was being extremely rude. She was so rude she didn’t even tell us to follow her as she walked us to our seats while also throwing the menus on to the table….It was at this point where I asked for the store manager while keeping my composure and explained to home the terrible experience and to please take care of this situation so that another customer dosnt feel the disgust me and my girlfriend did and obvious discrimination as this never even happened before until they got new staffing WHICH by the way is rumored that they essentially hired traditional Mexicans at low wage to essentially build the restaurant and make it seem as authentic as possible then once the job was completed they were all fired…. We ended up leaving before the food came out and...

You guys gotta do better with customer service. Theres no reason for a 40 minute wait when you have 2 sections of the restaurant completely empty. Up stairs and down stairs Brought my kid here for food because the restaurant usually is a good experience. Got there at about 8-45ish stood at the inside host station for a few minutes without acknowledgment. No host present. Sever Came by directed us back to the door. Male host came greeted us. Informed us of a 30 minute wait with the restaurant closing at 10pm. 9:15 group of four white guys walk behind us ask us how long the wait was. we told them half an hour. They proceed to host and come back out on ramp. Oddly they were seated at 920-925 😑. Host explanation is that they placed thier names and left. would be believable had they not asked us how long was the wait. decided to leave and go to jeramiahs tavern. From a business perspective, Lost revenue comes from poor operations. Is it operationally effective to close two of the larger inside sections of the restaurant on your busiest day of the week simply because you dont want to clean? Funny thing is I wasnt there to eat dollar tacos. I generally order steak fajitas. Maybe they thought We were trying to dollar millionaire it up so we on this occasion got low priority. Very disappointing. by the way my our table is ready for you text message came at 9:35 approximately 25 minutes before closing. Just flat out Bad. No excuses for that. I wish I could upload a...

Came here for cinco de mayo around 8pm. Not crazy busy for what the day is but definitely more people than an averafe day. Started out ok but they had a limited menu which was fine for us since were just planning on getting drinks and some tacos etc... I ordered 3 tacos. My fiance wanted empanadas. Out of empanadas. She ordered enchiladas now. She wanted a mojito. Out of mint. Drinks came in cheap plastic cups instead of glasses like you would expect for $8+/drink. Ordered guac . came out in a paper container.. Waited 40 mins for enchiladas and they said they were out of mole sauce so we had to settle with Verde. They brought out the tacos around the same time and were the wrong ones. After another 20 mins of waiting , we asked for the check without the tacos. 3 couples that came after us had recieved their tacos. This was highly disappointing and terrible service. This was my 3rd time here and previous times have been pretty good but it was absolutely terrible this time. Staff was all over the place and everything was extremely disorganized. Will not be coming back. We left and went to the Silver Iguana. They were serving their full menu and service was great. Dont recommend coming here anymore. Barely got an apology. Didnt try to take care of us at all for the inconvenience. Definitely gone down hill since last...
