Came here twice for my iPad Pro screen, and both times resulted in the screen becoming very inconsistent. I use my Apple Pencil and iPad literally ONLY for college and I rely on them for note taking. The screen seems to do whatever the hell it wants when I use it, I can’t even draw graphs or write down information without having to write over it multiple times. Even when my screen was cracked before bringing it here, it would still be fully responsive with the Apple Pencil. The fact that I paid $280 for a new and more severe problem, with no refund by the way, and then having to buy a new iPad because of this fiasco has turned this place into an unreliable tech repair place for me. I also think that’s it’s funny they first considered that they may have inserted the screen incorrectly for the first repair, and then pretty much admitting that they can’t do anything more after the second repair failed. Thanks for the opportunity to spend so much money on a new device that I NEED in order to graduate college.
Edit due to owner review: I can easily prove you saying the screen repair was not the issue is a complete lie. Like I said, I came there with a broken screen that even when cracked, it would still always accept Apple Pencil input without noticeable fail. This issue only occurred AFTER the repair. I did not realize the input problem until the month after the repair because I got it done around Christmas and my semester did not start until the middle of January. I only used it for a few minutes after the repair to ensure the screen was crack-free, which was obviously the primary purpose of the repair to begin with, not test out these very specific hardware/software failures. After that, the iPad was never touched until school started, which was when the issue was spotted. What would you have done even if it was still in the warranty? You guys would have done another repair and come to the same “conclusion” that it’s unfixable (The second repair actually made it more broken because I also noticed Face ID was almost never working anymore either). After I got my new iPad, the Apple Pencil and the note taking apps worked without issue. You guys claimed to have tested it when I was able to notice input failure in the first 30 seconds of testing it out. So essentially, I paid for a specific service, and did not get the desired service. You were supposed to fix a problem, and you caused a new problem, and trying to hide any fault to avoid responsibility. You stole my money,...

I was born and raised in New York and have since moved, but all my friends and family still live in Upstate. A little over a year ago I found myself rushing back to the area when my father had a heart attack and was in a coma for about a week after being airlifted to Syracuse. This was mid-pandemic and visiting hours were VERY short and my fathers hospital room phone was not working. He was in an extremely fragile state (physically/emotionally/mentally) and very disoriented and confused and the isolation was only adding to that. He asked my mother to please bring his iPad and iPhone to the hospital so he could have contact with us outside of visiting hours (4 total hours a day for all family, 1 at a time). In a panic, she locked him out of both devices and we had no way to reset them as all my elderly fathers passwords were saved on the iPad.
Desperate to get either the phone or tablet in working condition I started to call everywhere… the Apple Store, multiple phone repair companies… no one could get me in that same day. I called Easy Tech and Scott answered saying that although that’s not normally a service they offer- I could come in today and he would do his best. Not only did he get the phone unlocked, he was able to reset the tablet, too! The whole process was done in about an hour. He wouldn’t even accept my money for the service after explaining the situation and how I had just driven two hours from Syracuse out of desperation when he said he could MAYBE help.
Scott is honest and compassionate and I would trust him gladly with any device repair needed. Their prices for commonly needed repairs such as screen replacement are exceptionally low/affordable and I received better service here than any large chain store. This is small business...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing! Admittedly from the outside it’s slightly off-putting but don’t judge a book by it’s cover (or a business by it’s building).
The touch screen on my smart phone randomly stopped responding and trying to go back to the store I purchased it from took me on a very frustrating run-around with corporate and the insurance company that ultimately was going to leave me paying full price for a new phone and losing all of my data. Given that the phone was otherwise still perfectly functional, I decided to try this place and I’m so glad I did.
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, very upfront with what would need to be done and what the cost would be, and gave me plenty of time to make my decisions. Then they did the repair in under 10 minutes and explained their 30-day warranty in case the new screen gives me any problems.
I could not be happier with the service I got today and will gladly go back to them with any future...
