Yonkers Gateway Center — Attraction in City of Yonkers

This is by far one of my least favorite places to shop, however I like the stores there. The parking lot is always full, which is fine- but try to get through it...people there are not courteous whatsoever. You're lucky if you can cross the street, turn left or get into a spot bc everyone is in the biggest rush to get nowhere. That's before you get into the stores. Kids running with no parents watching them...under racks, all around, as if it's a playground...while you're trying to get your things done. Then go to the register where the woman with 500 items has the issue with the shirt that's clearly not on sale and the coupon that is for the next time she shops there- to make a huge deal and insist on getting the manager...while 20 people pile up on line behind her...only to find out she was wrong on both accounts- throw all 500 things on the floor and storm out bc she still insists she's correct. That's only store 1... You don't want to move the car bc it's like cheating death each time you drive through there, so you walk through a crowd of people who own the sidewalk. (I'm generalizing...it's not always like this) Arriving at store 2... trying to find someone to help you in store two is like breaking up two besties in a texting war. Why bother. I walk out. Needless to say, there are good stores here that I visit once every 6 months. DSW, Marshall's Shoes, Burlington, but don't expect good overall customer service (there may be an outlier), and expect to be annoyed at least twice for some reason. If road rage is your...

A variety of stores are accessible here. Stores like Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, Party City, Bob's furniture, Burlington, DSW shoe store, and smaller retail stores to fit your gift, home decor, baby and children clothing needs. You also have access to the largest Dollar Store in the back of the mall for quick buys and the wonderful Alamo Movie theatre. Near the Alamo you will find a few small local eateries and 5 Guys. Best Buy was absolutely, absurdly ridiculous! Never Shop Here or at any Best Buy Store Again!! Terrible Customer Service, Rude Store Support Management, Cocky Employee Attitude, Overpriced Products, Hostile Security, Bigoted Environment, Messy Store Floor, Lousy/Lazy Call Service, Incompetent Maintenance, Etc. Is why the chain should just break & fold, for I hereby declare a vote of no confidence in it or its faculty on any level! What the company has done can never be forgotten...
