So, I love the food selections here, and the teens are very respectful. This is more of an informational review for parents about employment and treatment of the teens that work there. Recently I listened to some of the teens in my community service group talk about how they were making them work every Saturday on top of regular scheduled nights, and when asked to have weekends rotated, the one doing the schedule and the owner would get snippy with them telling them that they are going to work every Saturday until they say otherwise, and they make the teens work nights/closing shifts. From some the tones of the texts some of my attendees shared shows that those in leadership find it okay with the giving attitude just because these teens ask for rotating Saturdays, and sharing they need to work opening shift because they rely on their parents for transportation. These adult individuals male/female need to understand most teens rely on their parents that work as well, and rotating weekends is a normal practice in most jobs. This place is taking advantage of these teens and bullying them into quitting if they don't work the days and times they say. It's not a surprise these teens are not complaining about the work, but they're definitely complaining about the schedules and the management. One of the teens that work there was afraid to show the texts from the one doing the schedule just because she didn't want her mom to say anything to those working there or blast them on social media, but no matter what, these people better understand that they can't talk to anyone just any kind of way. Maybe the one scheduling needs to find a job that better suits them, if they don't like the job, find something else to do other than bullying teenagers into quitting, and then thinking they're about to work double shifts with such individuals. These kids only make 8.00, that's a tragedy within itself. Try to do better, if it was my child, I would have already been to see the one texting so smart, just saying. And don't come under here like you're so concerned because clearly this has been going on, it's...
Read moreOur 1st visit was PHENOMENAL! If freshness and crunchy is your jam like it is mine? You NEED to come try this amazing place!! Today, when we walked in, we were promptly greeted by staff with a "Welcome in!" that felt like the employees saying it actually meant it. Next, following all clearly visible signs, we used our squirt of hand sanitizer and adorned a plastic glove on our "tong hand." We got our cute little tray, large bowl and were ready to begin building our individual salad of our choosing. There was also a very helpful employee who explained that salads are pay-by-the-pound and we could load the bowls with as much or little as we wanted. At the end, our choice could also be chopped or even made into a wrap! 🤯 As we went along the counter of the multi section salad bar, I was blown away by the number of choices. At least 90 different, fresh items ranging from the ol' standards of carrot and cucumber to quinoa and artichoke hearts. The protein options had just as much variety like shaved chicken, ham, pepperoni, hot honey chicken, garlic chicken, peeled shrimp, and a full complement of beans and legumes. The cheese options, the dressing options, so on.... So much goodness! It was all fresh and delicious! Oh, there's also a variety of soups sold by weight. Oh and delicious varieties of lemonade and tea plus fountain drinks. Oh and an app for ordering and collecting points. This is the best place! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you so very much, Salad...
Read moreI have been looking forward to this opening so that we can have a healthy dining out experience. Living in the south makes it hard to find non-fried food establishments. The employees and owner were super nice when we visited. Tons of options, all the normal salad items, fruits, 3 types of grilled chicken, shrimp, seafood salad, 5 soups, baked potatoes, and 3 hot vegtable side options. They also have homemade flavored lemonades. The price was also reasonable, but keep in mind you pay by weight. You can easily overload a bowl with heavy items, and then it may not be that cheap. I will say that my wife and I paid just under $25 for 2 salads, 1 soup, and 1 iced tea. I really can't recall eating out recently for that price. Everything was fresh, they were cutting up fresh fruit as we were dining. Everything was also clean, the dining area as well as the ingredients bar. I'm so glad to have them in town and hope they do well. We will be back - and definitely try the chicken...
