Dash In — Attraction in Claymont

Well I have no particular grievance with the petrol dispensers or the activity of dispensing petrol, this convenience store is anything but convenient. I used to stop into the store when I lived in this area pretty frequently and I never had any problems, but since I moved away I guess the store management has changed and now the store has different rules for different people.

On the occasion I stop at the store I have usually had no difficulty purchasing coffee with my own reusable cup or using cups provided by the store. After my last two experiences in this store, I will never be returning, about 2 weeks ago I stopped in the store late in the day for coffee and the counter Clerk demanded that I pay for the coffee before I filled the cup because of a new "rule" to prevent stealing. The clerk did not do the same for either of the people in front of me who also purchased coffee.

The store clerk was engaged with a customer in front of me who also had a reusable cup, appeared to be multilingual, and refused the customer coffee service and made the customer answer for his use of multiple languages. I don't know all the details of what I saw, but it was enough for me to decide to leave and take my business elsewhere both for coffee and petrol. This convenience store clearly treats their customers with bias, creates "rules" at will, and has favorites to which the "rules" don't apply. ...

To whom it may concern: I am taking my time to thank you for this branch with food and coffee at the gas station on Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE. First of all, I noticed a huge difference in customer service coming from all and every single African American lady who works there, including an older gentleman. The restroom is always clean at any time of visit, the entire store and very organized and clean, and their bakery items are exclusively nicely done. Could you be so kind to let all that team that their efforts to do the good job did not go unnoticeable. I am USA citizen, but still have an heavy accent, and I never mistreated at this location. Just had the worst experience with pumping gas. They put $125 hold on my account in order to pump gas; the pump stopped at $62. Instead of the company deducting the $62 out of the $125 they put on hold, they took both deduction’s out of my account. Not to mention I’m now -$29 with my bank; the supervisor inside the store only apologized and stated she could help assist and gave me a 1800 number that don’t even freakin work. If you’re going to put a hold on my account at least deduct my balance from that hold. Now I’m in a negative with my bank when the funding was there. I definitely won’t be back, y’all are a ripoff!!
