The Claymont Library was an awesome experience. As I entered the building, there was an enactment of Eleanor Roosevelt going on in a side room with a "full-house" audience in attendance. I stood there long enough to see that the enactor was excellent as she totally captivated her audience with one account after another of the life of Eleanor Roosevelt. The library itself, was clean, well stocked and a breath of fresh air. I had business to complete at the computer but wish I had more time to browse. The Children's Department looked so large and inviting! And there were pamphlets describing a reading/discussion of the movie, "The Holdovers", which I already enjoyed and a knitting, crochet, needlepoint craft circle at 1pm on an upcoming day of the week. They have a beautiful children’s area that is kind of separate from the main library with toys and room to walk around. They also offer amazing kids and toddler classes in the morning during the week. I tell everyone I know that this is the library to be at if you have a child three and under.
