Had some friends post this on Facebook. Must not like Conservatives $$
Bradley Richmond is with Haley Whiddon. 6 hrs NOTE: Y'all can look at my posts and tell I don't post often. I hardly use social media and I never try to offend anyone. Today I was kicked out of a store for wearing my Trump 2020 hat. Me and my fiance Haley Whiddon were with our dog Riley in the store Wander North Georgia in Clayton GA. We were looking around the store when an old man came up to me saying he liked my hat, we both agreed on hoping Trump getting elected in 2020 and he shook my hand. We then started talking about why I'm in grad school and how he hires mechanical engineers etc. most of our conversation being about careers. Then the conversation switched and he asked me why I wear my hat. It was then that I told him how I could not wear it at my college at Valdosta State University because I would get too much hate from it so I wear it in small towns like Clayton in North Georgia where I can feel safe wearing it. He just could not believe me when I said I couldn't wear it around people on campus. It was then that the lady who owned the store came up to us and told us that she would not tolerate us talking about that or me wearing my hat and yelled that we both get out of her store right then. The lady behind her yelled how she was also offended and wanted us out.
I have never felt the way I did when I politely walked out her store. The old man walking out with me said he just could not believe what just happened and he had never seen anything like that. I agreed. I felt hurt with the fact that there are some places in North Georgia of all places where I can't feel safe wearing a hat that supports the president of my country. I don't want to rant any further even though there is a lot more I want to say. If you're a liberal I am sure you will feel very welcome in that store. I know I'm not...
Read moreSo I had heard of Wander North Georgia but had never been in the store or shopped on the site, but I was at the Citizen Cope show in Atlanta recently and I was talking to someone who was wearing one of their shirts. I really love local/regional products and I loved the design of the shirt so I looked them up when I got home, perused the website, read about their values and the one percent initiative and ordered a shirt. There were a couple of things that I really loved about the experience (apart from loving the shirt, which is of great quality and design): first, I received a follow up 'thank you' email, which was a great way to follow up and it had a picture and was heartfelt and made me feel really good about spending my money with WNG. I'm a conscientious spender and I like to spend my money with companies whose values align with my own. The second thing I really liked was when I received my shirt the package was minimal and product size appropriate. Excess packaging is wasteful and a burden on both the environment and the recipient so the fact that someone else seems to be paying attention to that is so very important to me. The final thing is that when I received my shirt there was a short, handwritten 'thank you' on the invoice from the owner. I would have still been happy with the shirt had none of these other things happened, but all of the details that to some might seem small really put the whole experience over the top for me. I will definitely be back and I will also visit the brick and mortar store when my dogs and I are hiking...
Read moreOkay so I just watched your video via Instagram and damn...I’m blown away! That was spectacular. I have been distantly following this company ever since the beginning but this year I have finally gone all in with social media aspects. That video and what y’all stand for hits home so well, I’m in awe. I am living down in Atlanta, but have constantly found myself in the NGa Mountains ever since I could crawl thanks to my parents. I am very thankful to see a company thriving so well for the community and the environment of our state and the mountainous regions. My girlfriend and I came up this weekend on our way to Gatlinburg for a mini retreat and we probably spent 3 hours total in that store coming and going. Your staff is the friendliest I have ever come across, and as I age each year I become more like my father who is a critic when it comes to customer service! That being said, y’all are raising the bar and some with customer service. Thank you for that. It does go a long way. This post as you can tell by now has nothing to do with me asking a question...this was simply just a gratitude on blast moment for me to recognize Wander North Georgia and to let you know you have huge supporting fans even down here in the big city. I cannot wait for my next adventure that takes me north and let’s me step foot into your store once again! God bless you all for your hard work and dedication and I wish nothing but the best ahead for...
