Jacob is the only reason I can give this high of a review. I bought 4 tickets early for a matinee of IT. Go in 30 minutes early to get good seats & popcorn which was cold & drinks which are not good flavored because it's one of those mixed syrup & drink machines. I've never found one that didn't give odd taste because all flavors & sodas come out same opening. 3 people told us our movie was in theatre as ticket said. Nope. We ended up with subpar seating. I wouldn't care if we literally hadn't been told by 2 staff that our tickets were correct when directly asked and 1 didn't even look at them when she said it. I'm not the "let me speak to the manager" type but when 2 people, not counting original ticket girl point us to wrong place, I'm done. I asked Jacob to get the manager for me while I sent rest of group to seats. Theatre board wasn't even showing IT, just said welcome. Bless his heart he asked if he could try to help me 1st. Sweet & brave of a minimum wage employee to try with a visibly frustrated if still smiling customer. I soon found out why he was trying to handle it, manager had no desire to do that key part of her job. When I told him my issue, he waved me closer to her on a register. He told her what happened & suggested a course of action. She did not look at me one time during the whole exchange. She had to actually make an effort to not look at me because I was that close. She gave him permission to do as he suggested then kept ignoring me even though Jacob had gestured politely toward me at the beginning. She never spoke or talked to me. That is a horrible manager. I understand some people avoid conflict like the plague. I wasn't angry or loud, just an unsatisfied customer. She couldn't handle an easy customer complaint, she has no business in management. Promote Jacob. He went above and beyond. I thanked him & made sure to get his name just for this review. No name tags so no clue who manager was. Will give another try because of Jacob, will not order tickets...
Read moreI had to change my review to a negative one largely due to unpleasant, rude employees who ruin customers' experiences & even cause them to miss their movies. The place is often dirty & restrooms are not maintained - yet employees have plenty of time to hang out... There are several broken seats, often the movie is not aligned properly on the screen, and several screens/projectors have issues. There is no A-list line and employees are often untrained regarding A-list perks, some employees seem to be untrained in every area. They need to get their act together and start being good to customers again and taking care of stuff. Their bad attitudes have seriously caused me to dread coming here. All the good, nice employees were suddenly gone, as well as a decent manager, and in their place are poorly trained, unfriendly employees who do not care, do not do their jobs, flat out lie to customers, & ruin customer experiences. They also have become EXTREMELY stingy with their popcorn. It's not that good to begin with and is often cold, they drastically overcharge for it & only give you a small amount. The bags have shrunk by around half! It's popcorn, not gold! This theater is failing.
You get tickets & concessions at the same time - there's one line. You can pre-order online or in the app, but it'll cost you a convenience fee, unless you pay for a subscription membership (which includes additional benefits as well). The popcorn is usually cold. Concessions are ridiculously over priced. The volume is too loud sometimes and you can also sometimes hear the movie next door over the one you're watching - kinda ruins it a little bit, steals some of that movie magic. This theater doesn't have the selection that chattanooga AMC theaters have, which is a bummer, especially if you have an A-list membership or enjoy...
Read moreThis was our family's first theater experience since covid. (Myself, my husband, and our kids: 11, 6, and 4). The matinee price was more affordable than I expected, but the convenience fees basically made it the same price as the evening show price. Upon entering the front door, it was a blessing to see how not busy it was. My husband got our popcorn and drink cups from a friendly employee at the concessions. She made some polite small talk and wished us an enjoyable experience. We entered the auditorium and took our seats at the very top, in the middle. The first thing I noticed was how almost flimsy the seats felt, which made it difficult for the younger two kiddos to sit comfortably, but we eventually got them settled in. At some point during previews, I happened to glance down at the floor between the backs of our seats and the wall behind us...đł It looked like it never gets cleaned; empty candy packages, an abundance of popcorn, and empty cups. But the biggest disappointment was when the lights went down and the movie started. Maybe I missed a post-covid memo, but I remember the theater being dark enough to see nothing but the movie and loud enough that you didn't miss any lines. Neither of these applied to our movie. It was at this point that my husband and I agreed we should have just waited for the movie to release to it's streaming platform. We could have easily made our living room darker and used our surround sound to make it louder, plus we would have saved the $80-$90.
I'm sure I sound like I'm just complaining a lot, but I truly expected more or at least better. It makes me incredibly sad to write any negative review because I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and find the positive in any experience, but overall for the price we paid there just weren't...
