I rarely feel so strongly to make a review, but I feel it is necessary. Not only is the services absolutely terrible but so is their cinema.
Service:
While at the consesson stand 5 employees stood by one register and casually talked about their personal life rather than helping the long line of customers (after all the new Star Wars just came out!). I was only served after I asked the manager if he could open another register and he made some excuse but did it anyways and complained about how hard it was and I how I shouldn't have asked. I explained that there was a lot of people and it may help for the rest of the customers, apologized and left. He wouldn't even look me in the eye as he spoke to me. Clearly all the employees don't want to work there and don't want to serve their customers. They'd rather gossip about their personal lives than even acknowledge the people standing directly in front of them. Not only is this inappropriate, it's obnoxious.
Theater:
The theater itself wasn't awful, however the seats were quite literally falling apart. A loud noise kept coming from the seat next to me where my friend sat and we genuinely afraid his seat was going to break. After the movie, he lifted up the seat and saw the cushion wasn't attached to the seat at all!! If someone larger had sat there they would have almost certainly fallen through.
The screen itself was fine, the movie looked phenomenal. However, when any high pitched sounds played you could hear a sharp crackle of the speakers that were partially blown. Since we saw Star Wars XIII: The Last Jedi this happened a lot... At first it was quite frightening and confusing... then it became genuinely distracting and frustrating for the moving going experience.
I'm giving this cinema 2 stars and not 1 because I've been to worse places and I enjoyed the unique way the theater was set. However, at no other place have I seen employees that care less than here. At even the worst theaters I've been to (and my cousins live in New York City!) the seats never threatened to not bare my weight and the speakers could play all notes.
I would avoid watching a movie here...
Read moreHORRIBLE! The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. My first issue out of many, there was no one to great us when you enter the building. Second all 5 of the employees were in a group behind the concession stand everyone was talking amongst themselves & not paying myself or any other customer any attention. When I was able to get their attention I guess I passed them of. I asked one of the workers where or how do I go about purchasing movie tickets one woman rudely points to the end of the counter where an older woman was sitting but she never said it just pointed. I ask if I could purchase two tickets for a R rated movie for my teens I was told I had to get 3 & I had to sit with them the whole time I sad ok no problem. When we order our food the workers were so rude to my daughter as if the did not want to serve her. So I order the food & the were over talking me & rushing me. We get in the theater to watch our movie & the screen wasn't working only the sound. I left out to let someone know a woman flagged me off & said she'll fix it. After a good 7mins the movie came on & we began to watch the movie. The woman came in 20mins later to check & see if I was still with the to teens & I was. She loudly said oh they all still in there. She came back in 15mins after that to check again this time she huffing &puffing because we're still watching the movie. The last 5mins of the movie she is wating for us to leave making noise replacing a trash bag in a can as we're leaving she says their leaving now. I just felt like they didn't feel like working this day & it was probably only 15 people in the building counting the 5 workers they chased everyone out...
Read moreI live just a few minutes away from this theater, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've gone there. Yesterday, I went to go see IT and I'm actually sitting here blaming myself for seeing this movie at this theater on opening weekend. As if it's MY fault that the people that also came to see the movie were loud, disrespectful and talked throughout the movie. Horrible, horrible experience. I don't care how close you live to this theater or if you wanted to see a movie after eating Yours Truly or something; it is NOT worth your time or money to visit this place. Do NOT see a movie there during peak hours (afternoons or evenings), on opening weekend, or even the following weekend. The only time I can say that I came away satisfied with my experience was after seeing the Jungle Book last year during it's fifth weekend when only one other person came in to watch it. The people that attend this theater are not interested in watching movies; they want to talk and blather as though everyone else in the theater haven't also spent their money to watch a movie. And the craziest thing is that the owner and people who work there don't ever have to worry about running out of business for this very reason: so long as there are people who are willing to spend their money to talk through a movie/be on their phones/yell across the theater, this theater will continue on, never having to change a thing. For all those who actually want to have a good movie experience, do not see...
