As a medical trainee at one of Cleveland’s major hospital systems, I moved to Electric Gardens (EG) in May 2024, drawn by its promise of combining modern amenities with a convenient location. The property delivers in many respects, though there are areas where it could further enhance the resident experience.

Pros: EG is among the most visually appealing apartment complexes in Cleveland. The units are spacious, bright, and designed with a contemporary feel. Direct access to the Towpath Trail makes it ideal for runners and cyclists, while the location offers a nice balance between downtown accessibility and Tremont’s neighborhood charm. The indoor garage is a practical benefit, particularly for those with irregular schedules. A new coffee machine in the common area adds a welcoming touch, and the gym is well-equipped for most routines, though it can be busier during peak hours.

Cons: Where improvements are most needed is in maintenance responsiveness. My experience included longer-than-expected delays with appliance repairs, including the dryer, fridge water dispenser, and air conditioning during warm weather. While temporary accommodations were offered, faster response times would greatly improve overall comfort. The indoor garage, though convenient, has occasionally faced mechanical issues and challenges with reserved space enforcement.

Community Notes: The building is pet-friendly, which many residents enjoy, though more consistent leash use would benefit everyone’s comfort and safety. Social events are offered by management, though many are scheduled during weekday afternoons, making it harder for working professionals to participate. Adjusting timing could encourage greater resident involvement.

I’ve lived at EG since it opened and have truly loved it. The apartment layout is spacious and thoughtfully designed—it’s easy to move through the space, and the kitchen offers great storage and plenty of room to cook comfortably. There’s tons of natural light and a solid air purification system, which I really appreciate given Cleveland’s air quality challenges.

I feel very safe here. While I don’t love paying for parking, the added security gives me real peace of mind. I’ve seen reviews mentioning car break-ins, but that’s a broader Cleveland issue, not something specific to EG—many neighbors in the area have dealt with the same thing.

Maintenance is fantastic. They’re responsive, thorough, and don’t stop until the issue is resolved. There was one delay, but that was due to an outside contractor’s schedule—completely outside of their control.

When I moved in, I was hoping to find a sense of community, and I did—immediately. There are plenty of ways to connect with others, but no pressure if you prefer to keep to yourself.
