WOW.
Recent Tremont addition, Roasted, is one of those places that, as soon as you enter, you can just feel the thoughtfulness and care that has gone into every detail. From the layout and purchaseable art on the walls to the stylish-yet-inviting furnishings, to the very menu itself, it is clear that no detail was left to chance.
Entering Roasted does not feel at all like entering a new business (except for all the grand opening balloons), but, rather, like you’re hanging out in your cool friend’s trendy kitchen. There are books to check out, games to play and, outstandingly, mini projects like designing your own reusable mug with all the elements and supplies included in a cute little brown box to take home or, even better, to assemble right at one of the comfy seating areas while you enjoy some of the best-tasting coffee you will arguably ever have. Check out the Roasted website to see the sheer amount of time, thought and energy that went into every aspect about what coffee Sofia serves and why.
And then there are the baked goods.
To say that it may be difficult in the future to score any one of the locally-baked treats served at Roasted once word gets out about how great they are would be an understatement. All baked goods are refreshingly not giant sized (as is so often the choice made by many) but, rather, perfectly ready for a quick pick-me-up or to eat on the go. There are deliciously adorable Roasted sugar cookies to go along with mini scones and soufflé things and other cookies…
Other cookies… Like the gluten free chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies which are so freakin good they feel like more than the sum of their parts. No one who likes chocolate chip cookies ever complains that they have too many chocolate chips and the gluten free chocolate chip cookies at Roasted are magically endowed with delicious chocolate in what should be the standard ratio of chocolate chip to cookie for the rest of the entire world.
Scones: If you go to Roasted and you don’t try a rosemary scone, you should be criminally prosecuted. They are good enough on their own to keep people coming back regularly.
Live music, art and comedy along with a bunch of other upcoming plans/events further cement this wonderful addition firmly within the realm of must go-tos when visiting or living in Tremont.
I can’t wait to go...

Read moreThis was a last minute planned stop after our original stop we were going didn’t work out, and it was surprisingly very nice.
The place itself is very cozy, and decorated nicely with lots of art 🖼️ and plants 🪴 everywhere. The music was chill, and the furniture was comfortable. So comfortable I was starting to zone out a bit while listening to the music 😅 It looks like the shop is in a great spot too because there was continuous foot traffic coming in for coffee.
The cappuccino I had was different, being that it actually had a foam cap like it traditionally is supposed to have rather than latte art on top. The texture of the foam was a bit “air-y” or “dry”, and I want to say the size of it was an 8 oz cup rather than a 6 oz, but the drink itself was good and very espresso forward.
From what I read, they source their coffee directly from Copán Ruinas, Honduras. And I’m not too sure if they roast their own coffee, but the website does mention that the beans are roasted locally, so you are guaranteed freshness.
I would definitely stop back in just to relax and hang out because it has that...
