I think it's an amazing dessert shop that Tremont needs and it's exciting to have something new. The workers are great, friendly, care and work hard! Lots of options and good tasting flavor. My concern is not with this. I'm bordering between 3 and 4 stars. I'm going to have to agree with the people saying that it is really expensive. One crepe is about 10, not including a 20% tip, and it lets you choose two toppings, a gelato flavor, and two sauces. I got strawberries, banana, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. In the end mine had had about two small strawberries, a rather small scoop of ice cream, barely any chocolate sauce (slightly drizzled on the whipped cream), and no banana. At that point I had already went home.
I feel the need to edit this because of the people getting snarky and attitude in the reviews. "to the people saying it is overpriced go back to your McDonald's etc." First of all, you are showing your social class privilege. Second of all, I personally was specifically referring to the way it was priced for the item I got in transaction, which was a very small portioned and incorrect order with items missing. Basically a little plop of ice cream with drizzled sauce for like $14. Nothing wrong with respectful feedback, and I in no way made it seem like I did not support this business. Maybe my experience was an anomaly, but it is just my experience. You can like something and still be...
Read moreSOOOO EXCITED that this place finally opened!!! 🙌🏻🤩✨ And it's even more amazing than I thought it would be! From the hand painted MURAL on the outside of the building from a local artist with the infamous MAYOR STEVE the cat of Tremont... To the incredible selection of gelato flavors and toppings... And... WOW, COFFEE TOO?!?☕️✨ And as someone who has worked as a barista at the local coffee shops here and is very picky about my espresso/lattes, I was incredibly IMPRESSED by the iced cinnamon latte I got !!!!!✨☕️👌🏻💯♥️
I was so bummed that SCOOPS, the only ice cream in Tremont, got bought out/shut down... And replaced by the 100th barbershop 😑... So this was much needed! 🍦🍨 I'm so happy to have a walkable gelato place nearby ANNNNND FRIDAY & Saturday, they're open late 🙌🏻 so you can hit them up when you're done at the bars 🤭
Also, I have to give a shout-out to the super awesome staff members who served me: Jessie & Dre!🙏🏼♥️🍨☕️they made my DAY! ✨ Thanks for cheering me up.
For those of you saying it's overpriced: go back to your McDonalds dollar menu and get some soft serve s&@%. If you don't want to put in the extra penny to support a local business, don't come here. I rather pay extra for a local shop like this any day than have a giant franchise like Diary...
Read moreAs someone who worked in management for 16 years, I understand the importance of standing by your team. I also learned that good leadership means listening to both the customer and the employee equally — making everyone feel heard and respected.
During my recent late-night visit, I ordered three kids’ cups, a milkshake, and an ice cream cone — without the children present. I expected the order to be bagged, as carrying it all without help was difficult. When I asked for a banana to be added to the milkshake after paying, the employee didn’t seem sure how to ring it up, which caused confusion.
My intention was never to create an issue or be dishonest — I simply hoped for some understanding. Instead of receiving a call or email to talk through the situation, I felt dismissed. I believe it would’ve gone a long way if someone had reached out to say, “I’d like to understand what happened — how can we make this right?”
Even if you weren’t there to witness it directly, great management shows when you’re willing to listen and acknowledge both sides. I respect your choice to stand by your employee, but I believe it could’ve been handled in a more balanced and...
