I hate to do this, to any business in Cleveland, but in a service oriented business- customer service should be the number one priority. I have been coming to this salon since I moved to Ohio City, 4 years ago, to the same stylist. Unfortunately my stylist quit, from what I gather it was unexpected and not a planned departure. This of course stinks, you get comfortable with your stylist after that long. However, no one called to inform me of his departure- I had an appt scheduled with him the following week. I found out after a girlfriend called trying to get an appt with him and let me know after the fact. Upon calling in, I informed them I had an appt with Matt next week but I understand he no longer works there but no one had called me. The woman who answered advised me theyâd been making calls but maybe they had the wrong number for me [theyâve been calling the same number for 4 yrs to confirm my appts] She read the number and it was correct, she then mentioned there was a note in the computer that someone tried calling me and left a message. While I understand calls sometimes do not go through, I have never heard of issues with a voicemail. After advising her no one left me a message she again was stuck on the fact that someone called and left a message. I then asked who my appt was with to which she told me I was technically not on the schedule as they werenât sure if I would be okay with another stylist. At this point I became aggravated, no message was left for me and in 6 Days I wouldâve walked in to find I was not âtechnicallyâ on their schedule. The woman was still hell bent that someone called an left me a message, but asked if I would still like to come to another stylist. I will no longer be going to The Studio, not even on the basis that Matt is no longer there- it is simply the lack of customer service. Instead of admitting someone dropped the ball and try getting a customer through the door she wanted to argue that someone tried informing me he left.    Read moreI read the reviews on this place and thatâs why I decided to pick it for services I needed. I was visiting from out of town and had no idea where to go. The place has a good online presence, and is responsive to phone calls. But thatâs about it. I called well in advance to reserve the services. I explained how I needed them to be done in a limited but doable time frame, and was promised and assured I can get just that. Services back to back so I can make it to where I needed to go on time. Unfortunately that is not what happened. The makeup artist was so very late, even though she confirmed the time the night before. I tried to keep my cool so I donât rush her and get a decent service. I wasnât impressed by the makeup, and on top of that, as soon as I left the salon my hair and my daughterâs started falling down. I had some pins with me and tried to fix it but it was disastrous. The amount of pins used to keep our hair up is about one fifth of what I usually get in other salons. I was then so late I had 5 minutes to change myself and my kids. It was so stressful, I had planned well in advance to avoid this exact situation. I still tipped generously because the staff was friendly, they were trying, but they were just not professional. I believe service reviews are extremely important, as important as product reviews if not more. Specially when there are important events involved and people relying on such services. Unlike products, one cannot return, exchange or get a different brand for a service that needs to be done decently and on time. For all I can say, if I happen to be again in Cleveland and needed a hair and makeup salon, I am definitely NOT going back...
   Read moreI went there the Sunday after Valentines Day, with an idea in my head of an awesome hair style, and so much excitement! Now, I got my hair bleached and dyed blue, purple, and pink, in a style called "Ombre". I was there for 5 hours for the whole process, and I'm sad to say...I've been disappointed ever since, everytime I look in the mirrorđ. There's barely any pink and purple, and more GREEN COLOR...WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR! Most of the hair line around my face wasn't even dyed, and all u see is the yellow bleach color, or my original color of brown in spots! It hasn't even been a full month, and all of the color has been dulled to an unattractive color, and almost out completely in some spots...not to mention the fact that I was told one price when we started, and it changed drastically after the color was put in. What am I gonna do...say "NO", "I'M NOT PAYING THAT"??!! IT'S ALREADY ALMOST DONE!! VERY disappointed, and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
