This place is still amazing. I order from here a great deal. Haven't actually been and sat /had a meal in person in a long time. Went last night with my family. Riley, our waitress was phenomenal, so kind and upbeat. Everyone was so helpful. Everyone was smiling and kind from the moment we all arrived. It was our kids' first time there, and they had so much fun. They are older, so we didn't order off the kid menu, but they have one. We got potstickers , truffle perogies, and a small serano ceasar salad for our appetizers. All were amazing, and everything was fresh. It was also hot and seasoned well. Also, everything was plated so nicely. Our son got a Beachwood Burger with fries which he really enjoyed. Our daughter got a Bri Burger with Blueberry jam (lol I'm more describing it than the name of it) and she was amazed lol also very happy. I got something more expensive a NY strip steak with fries it was well worth the money. The taste was epic and cooked so well. My wife got a fiery burger lol something like that ..they said it was hot 🔥 but they like hot and it was really good. They usually take food home not last night. Dessert everyone but me had milkshakes which everyone said were really tasty. I had the dessert burger with funnel cake fries and just like the waitress said it was huge. It tasted so good though and I shared with everyone. So thanks to everyone for outstanding service also kindness also how fast everything got out and how attentive all staff were, especially Riley and making sure glasses stayed full and the table stayed clear. We were there at 5:30pm and they were busy. Yet everyone was in good spirits. All staff help each other out it'd really lovely to see. I highly recommend this place. Price isn't bad, especially with the amount of food you get. Oh ,lol I also got the summer sangria, which was...
Read moreHecks is like a little hidden gem. My brother took us here for brunch and it was perfect. Most places on a Sunday are so packed you can't get in. We came here and didn't have to wait!
The staff was stacked and ready for the rush. Food came in fair time and was pretty darn good.
The drinks selection probably could've been better...as I a tend to choose not to drink alcohol.
Appetizer: We had the buffalo fries with blue cheese sauce and GF banana 🍌 waffles 🧇 - Fire! 🔥
Entre: I chose the breakfast tacos and baclava french toast. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos. Maybe too simple...no enough flavor. Too expensive for what I was given. :/ Quality wasn't that good.
The fresh toast was pretty good though. It's also a bit expensive for only being served french toast...
I feel like if I'm going somewhere to spend $14 for a plate of french toast, I shouldn't have to pay extra for eggs and potatoes. Maybe a slight upcharge ...but it really should be a part of the meal.
BREAKFAST All in all, the food wasn't the best. Service was great and the atmosphere was delightful. Maybe don't come here looking for the best tasting breakfast. 😁💯
DINNER Dinner is great! Food is pretty spot on. Had the wild mushroom ravioli. It was very tasty. The buffalo cauliflower is absolutely awesome. Buy it, for sure!
Buffalo fries and banana bread waffles were the best part. I'd do...
Read moreI had to change my five-star review.
The last three times I have been here - spanning 3 years- have been nothing short of pathetic.
While the servers are always friendly, the service is absolute garbage. Ranging from incompetent to inattentive. The previous two times I have been here the orders were botched and we did not receive what we ordered. This time they were right, but I gotta say I wish we received something other than what we did.
My most recent visit was about 6 days ago. It took a solid hour to receive our order. I had the Ohio City burger- Mushrooms, cheese, and "spices of the world" or something like that. It was damn near inedible and way overcooked. It crunched. Seriously. And who in God's name thought these spices enhanced a burger... ? Ugh. I could not taste mushrooms, cheese, or meat. The spices overpowered and they were horrific.
After, we ordered dessert. Dessert was a milkshake and salted caramel pudding. The salted caramel bread pudding years ago was, what I thought, the best dessert I ever had. This time, it took just shy of a half an hour to receive this. And the bread pudding was like salty dense dough. I had three bites and tossed the rest.
For reference, it was not especially busy and there were a ton of servers and employees on the floor.
This place was an institution. And apparently still is. I am stunned that it is...
