After everything settled down since the pandemic, I wanted to experience something fun I hadn't done in a long time; watch a movie at a theater! And I wasn't prepared for the experience that unfolded... the building was nearly a ghost town. I mean... they were running a skeleton crew with very few guests present... literal zero wait time... no crowds... the lobby was devoid of life, save for a ticket taker at the door, a technician doing rounds, and like 2 people on the kitchen. Now, I bought my ticket online, bought a large popcorn and soda with the combos, and reserved a seat, not knowing what to expect. As it was a weekday, during business hours, I wasn't expecting many to be going to see a movie... but I never anticipated what an understatement that would be... For a little over $30... I had a private screening! 😆🤩😂 I mean... the the entire auditorium was empty! Save for 2 people who were 3 rows in back of me... and left halfway through the movie. So... if anyone worries about going to see a movie at a theater in late 2022 due to social distancing or whatever... don't. Now is the time to a see a movie!!! For less than half of $100, go to a private screening of your favorite popular movie from years ago. As AMC seems to be replaying a whole bunch of popular older movies during the week now... such as, I went to see James Cameron's Avatar... I movie I missed in the theaters when it first came out... So I got a second chance at seeing it on the big screen... Real-D 3D, cinema-grade surround sound, large popcorn and soda (they also have Coke's Freestyle machine so you can get your favorite soda (mine's orange-vanilla Coke) or even mix them!!), the whole nine yards! I don't often give 5-star reviews... I save them for exceptional experiences... and this one certainly was! So, thanks AMC! Seeing a movie in the theater is about more than just watching a movie, it's about the whole experience... one I sorely missed from the pre-COVID world. Thanks AMC, for providing an exceptional experience. And I hope maybe some of you can have similar experiences by taking advantage of the times!

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Be warned! I shouldn’t have to say that a clean movie theater is crucial for providing a positive customer experience, as it enhances comfort, hygiene, and overall perception of the establishment. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I stopped going to this theater years ago because it wasn’t clean. How concerning and disturbing it is to see it has the same problem after all these years. I was invited to go by a friend, so that’s what brought me here, and I couldn’t believe what I saw. Management is to blame here. No one is enforcing the staff to keep this establishment clean. I can only imagine how the kitchen must look like and all of the health violations that are taking place. There are plenty of other theaters to go to that provide a clean environment. I want to attend a theater where I feel comfortable to consume my snacks and food in a sanitary place. The floors (carpet), counters, seats, and restrooms were all unclean. I won’t be returning to this theater.

See the red light on the edge of my photo? That's from the Exit sign in the theater as I was watching The Godfather. For some reason, AMC doesn't seem to understand that movies — ya know, the things you watch in movie theaters —are actually MADE OF LIGHT, and figured out ways to design their theaters to minimize or eliminate problematic light. At AMC at Essex Green, they used to have these tables with down-facing lights WHICH STAYED ON DURING THE MOVIE, shining light directly into your eyes. I think they got rid of them, but this Exit sign issue is another example of it. I know that Exit signs are required by law, etc. I get that. So hire an architect or designer who knows how to DEAL with this problem Ina way that doesn't hamper my enjoyment of a movie I paid over 20 dollars (before popcorn) to see. PLEASE. I feel like AMC staff are cool. They try their best despite being underpaid. The company just needs to wake up, I guess. YOU'RE A MOVIE COMPANY, MORE OR LESS. Act like one.

Just had one of the worst movie experience ever. I'm not going to waste my time with a super long review... The film I saw was very good and had no bearing in this review. I used to go to this AMC Clifton Commons for years and haven't been back for a long time but now our movie Bad Samaritan was playing there. Here we go: The most disgusting dirty filthy unsanitary theatre ever... First to the floors were so sticky my shoes stuck to them and made loud sticking sounds the entire movie while I sat and adjusted. The theater is out of date with old seats and an out of focus projector. And the icing on the cake...I left the theater and when I got into the light, I had gross white gum sticking to my pants leg. So 14 dollar tickets at a top of the line movie brand AMC, and I lose 59 dollar pants and sit in a cesspool of soda and gum??? Never ever go to AMC Clifton Commons...go anywhere else...

Attended National Cinema Day here. All tickets were supposed to be $3 each and a Coke and popcorn were $5. This was a huge discount from the regular price but there was a $6 convenience fee added to the online purchade of 3 tickets and due to the popularity of the promotion almost every showing was sold out or near capacity so the lines for PRE-PURCHASED popcorn were crazy long. I noticed an armed security officer inside (not police) which was reassuring. The viewing experience was great. Sound was great. Seats comfortable and except for the crazy concession line it reminded me of going to the movies every weekend as a kid. Now if they would keep the admission cost down (they demonstrated they can) my family would attend much more frequently because the theater experience trumps an in home viewing regardless of how big your TV is.

The seats here have no bounce back nor an inch of incline 😳. At least the padding isn’t as stiff. Posted pictures of theater #2 which has a pretty small screen. The Dolby atmos is in theater #8 (shown in some of the pictures). The theater is not crowded earlier in the weekday, however it is jam packed on the weekends.. inside and outside in the parking lot. You will often find a police car 🚔 out front during peak times. I prefer the Garden State Plaza (GSP) AMC over this one for the comfortable seats, larger screen size, and less of a teenaged crowd outside of the summer holidays. That said, the tickets here are a few dollars less than the GSP AMC. If you found this review helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. I’d be delighted if you gave it a 👍🏼 like. Cheers 🍻.
