Yesterdays Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Clifton

We had a last minute group of 13 people and they were able to accommodate us. We had not been here for almost 18 years and we're so happy it worked out that we ended up here. The atmosphere was really cute and they had nice ambient string lights around.

The food was GREAT! I had their special which was a 12oz pork chop in a garlic sauce with Spanish style cut potatoes and yellow rice. I will be talking about this dish for years! Others in our group had various burgers that they raved about. One person in our party had the breaded chicken cutlets with broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella. She loved it. We live out of state now but as long as Yesterday's is open , we'll have our reunion dinners here...

$18.00 for a double of any grey goose drink is absurd. The bottle cost 35 dollars. You would be forgiven if you thought they were in a penthouse bar in NYC. But no it’s nestled in the heart of Clifton, NJ. Known for bougie atmosphere & overpriced yankee stadium type priced beverages. Just kidding, it’s in Clifton- home of the hot grill, 2 dollar VFW beers, disco fries & half priced (in comparison) drinks anywhere else. We happened by this bar and grill while looking for a place to eat while in town. It had gotten good reviews and now I know why. The customer service is beyond excellent. All of the staff working were smiling, happy, and extremely friendly. The food was magnificent and the draft beers were great. It has been a long, long time since I have seen a working cigarette machine inside of a restaurant or bar lol.
