My 50 minute Swedish massage with Eric was very therapeutic. He was very thorough & methodical. I really enjoyed the warm towels over my feet. He paid attention to my Trouble spots to alleviate them. The only thing that I thought was unusual was that he used peppermint oil. Peppermint oil in my opinion is something to awaken your senses, not relax them. I would have preferred lavender oil. The facility was very clean and I enjoyed my experience overall.
I returned for my second Swedish massage today 5/20/18. I upgraded to a hot stone massage with the help of the girls at the desk. They were very helpful, patient & informative. My massage was with Matthias. He was phenomenal!!! He paid close attention to my problem areas & he was extremely therapeutic. I felt as if his hands were dancing while they were working on me. He obviously loves what he does & he is very in tune to trouble spots. His massage is truly a work of art!
A big thank you to Wilson for helping me reschedule my appointment. She recommended Matthias & i am very grateful for that!
My second massage w Mathias was a very relaxing & peaceful. I enjoyed it throughly. Itās a perfect example of a therapist doing exactly what is requested, and that in my eyes is a very professional therapist. Itās obvious that Matthias is very in tune to his clients needs/requests & to me that is the key to a wonderful massage. I am very grateful for his technique & expertise! Also, as usual the desk staff were very friendly & helpful when I arrived & checked out. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences at the Clifton Hand & Stone & I thank you all for always putting a smile on my face!
9/9/18 My last massage a couple of weeks ago was not what I requested, but it turned out to be what was best to relieve tension. I specifically went to have a completely relaxing massage, but my therapist found knots in my neck & base of my skull. She was so intense w her pressure, that it actually hurt considerably. I asked her to please be more gentle, and although she backed off a little bit, it still was very strong pressure. I was grateful that she was able to fix my problem areas, but it was the furthest from a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeware Pricing scam!! The day prior to my appointment I called 5 times to schedule a massage and glycolic facial because I wasnāt able to do it on the site. No call was answered. The website showed āSpecial $79.99 each for a massage and facialā. I wanted to do a facial and massage for my birthday but it didnāt turn out that way.The facial option in the site showed $79.99 glycolic and $79.99 microdermabrasion but I wasnāt able to purchase because when you click on either it lists overpriced add on services. The next day on my birthday I call again, a nice young lady answered and booked me on the spot. I explained to her the hassle with purchasing on line. I show up and Jules was very nice. However, the issue is that the way the pricing is presented both on line and in the store is VERY DECEPTIVE . Jules asks me what I want, I tell her I want the glycolic facial for 79.89 that was on line but was unable to purchase. She continues telling me about different services and prices. And I tell her I donāt want to get out of my $80 budget. She tells me the information on the glow up facial which she said was $120. I say ok , even though itās a bit out of my initial intended budget. All is well during the facial until itās time to pay. I was charged $199. I looked confused and asked why the amount. In my head itās $120 plus tax . The lady explained $80 for the basic facial and a separate $120 for the glow up facial. This WAS NOT explained to me at all. In other words, you will start if with paying $80 no matter what facial you get because the $80 is just a baseline mandatory pricing. This is absolutely ridiculous and basically highway robbery This is over priced, deceptive and abusive pricing. Due to this I DO NOT recommend this place. Iāve had different services for much cheaper by way of GROUPON. This wonāt happen to me again because this is my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a membership with them which I thought would be nice but it was a headache. Cancelling it was overly complicated but I guess there was fine print that I wasnāt aware of, so Iāll accept that. Then the service was ok. Depending on who you get itās very much a touch and go. I had a girl trying to upsell me to pay an extra 100$ for a facial. Now she has a license and probably can see that I needed it. But if I choose not to get it, why would she say āthereās no real point if you donāt?ā So... unless I pay for the chemical peel the amount Iām already paying is a worthless service? I mean... that doesnāt really give me confidence that Iām getting any benefit from a facial. Even with massages, if I want medium pressure the person is essentially just rubbing oils into my skin. If I ask for harder pressure I worry that I may be getting injured. But all that is the luck of the draw. I hadnāt found someone I liked enough to go to regularly, so I just booked anyone, maybe I just had bad luck. The reason Iām actually leaving a bad review - My Apple Watch was stolen. I took it off before a massage and I completely forgot to put it back on. I thought it was in my jacket pocket but it had to have fallen off in the location. While the store isnāt liable for it, I just find it suspicious that it went missing and no one reported finding one. If the massage therapist didnāt see it when they were cleaning up to turn it in, then maybe a different client found it and kept it? I called and while they attempted to help, i could hear the tone in their voice of āthatās tough, sorry we canāt be more of a help.ā This is very much my personal experience, but I canāt in good conscience recommend...
