I am now a Lowe's customer. I will never set foot or do business with home Depot ever again. Not only are they unprofessional but they lack integrity and are liars especially those in the Rental department. I've never had a bad customer experience, ever, in all my life and Home Deport, store #0908 in Clifton, changed that for me. Their employees are untrained and unprofessional. It took 30 minutes for this guy to put my information into the system and print my reservation. He took at least another 10 minutes for him to inspect the vehicle. I received the rental 40 minutes after my scheduled time and I arrived on time. On my return I came across another incompetent employee. This one was different in that he was a liar. He claimed he pulled up my information as soon as I entered the store, while he was helping the lady that was in front of me, which took forever. When it was my turn he took the key to inspect the vehicle. He came back and told me to move the cargo van to where the flat truck is. When asked why I had to do it he said employee are not allowed to drive vehicles, only supervisors. I moved the cargo van. I came back and he explained my total which was more than what I signed up for. They claimed I took more time than allowed which was not the case. They also charged me the damage protection fee which I declined. I informed the guy that the guy from the morning said to have them call him if I have trouble on my return. This guy then informed me that he's the supervisor and that this is what my contract says. Remember he said earlier that only supervisors can move the vehicles and yet I had to move the van. My receipt was never printed and handed to me. It was emailed. When I checked the receipt I was charged for 1 hr and 40 mins and there was no way that happened. The time listed as the return was way over. In our conversation he said my contract said the return time was 9:16 and I came in 9:20. The receipt that was emailed said 9:38. My reservation was scheduled for 7:30, I arrived 7:25 and got in the van at 8:08.Again, these ppl lack training, customer service, morals, professionalism. Their customer service is no better when I called to make my complaint. The guy on the phone talked over me the entire time and I could not get a word in. Lowe's is way more professional and the store is better organized and cleaner anyways. I'm gladly taking my...
Read moreI visited Clifton NJ flooring dept on Thursday to search different options for tiles project & noticed posted all over tile installation Promo offered took flyer home & next day called spoke with Debra asked her few questions & she confirmed promo offer but a professional measuring was needed at $35 plus tax The next day Saturday I arrived at this location around 3pm spend about half hour w/ Debra then she asked her co-worker Jose to assist me because she was getting ready to leave.. Now mind you all this time I spent with them over the phone as well in person about two hours I mentioned at least 5 or 6 times my project I am tiling area of the house etc & mentioned 100 sft few times. After almost half an hour sitting while Jose entered quote again based on the Promo that I was interested to visit he gave me based on 100sft a Ridiculous quote over $1500 plus & I was shocked! I spoke to Jose mentioned the quote does not makes sense versus promo offered! The ceramic tile I chose was .49 sft which should be total about $60 for 100 sft! The labor was over $1k w/ material my God crazy quote! Finally after going back n forth w/ Jose he Agreed the quote seemed off & called a manger spoke to her after 20 minutes came back said Sorry the promo had a minimum of 200sft OMG took them over two hours to figure this out while I wasted Precious time!! ON that offer in writing nowhere mentioned minimum required & how much is the minimum?? very misleading customers un-necessary! I then left sales desk very upset to go speak with manager Kaitlan to explain how upset I was & all I got from her calmly was I am sorry! Also admitted the sales team needs further training on offers to FULLY Disclose offer conditions! Guess what too late ! After I spent valuable almost two hours Clifton location left without any tile or closure & again upset that all I got was we are sorry!! I am long time HD customer but next time If I have any projects I may consider going to other location after this experience! I am hoping also as per managers promise that they Train their sales team to be able to answers & understand the offers they are providing to public to be knowledgeable more on products they offer customers!! Very Very Disappointed on this visit and surprised how little knowledge the sales team has to offer...
Read moreHow many deliveries does it take to get a 60 square foot deck? My journey started at the Clifton Nj store where I sat with an associate to transfer my cart to a bid room.I am a contractor and am well aware of how to shop at Home Depot, but I hadn't realized how bad the delivery system had gotten since I haven't gotten anything delivered in a few years. ALL ITEMS WERE IN STOCK AT CLIFTON yet instead of delivering my order on time from the Clifton store, my delivery was broken in roughly half, some of the stuff came damaged, and it was sent from Union? Let's not forget the 5 text messages and 10 emails I received about this ( I am not exaggerating ) when all I really asked for was a phone call 30 minutes before hand to let me know "you are on your way" which ended up being a " Im 5 minutes away " call. After unloading and unpacking at my customer's house, I went back to my office to spend 70 minutes on the phone trying to figure out how to now reschedule the rest of my delivery because I was not able to make myself or my customer available from 6 am to 8 pm another day because they shorted my delivery. I was then informed that they cannot give me the replacements for the damaged Items on the 2nd delivery ( Friday ) because the delivery is technically not completed yet so I will have to call again once the delivery is completed on Friday to have the damaged items scheduled for a pick up and the replacement items sent. LOL! I swear, I know it sounds unbelievable but everything i am saying is true and I am not exaggerating at all. I had to stop the text alerts so I stopped getting the same one over and over. I cant do it with the emails in case something else comes up but it i will probably get at least 2 more before this delivery happens on Friday and then I will probably get another 5 to 10 to deal with the damaged Items. My point with that is not only did they bust on the delivery, but now I get a whole bunch of harassing emails and texts on top of it. If you can buy it and take it with, do it.... bit if you cant and need it delivered, I suggest that you go to a real lumber yard. It will be less costly once you...
