At northern lights, it's basically meant for shipping and eating. It's decent to shop on weekdays during school hours. However, crossing Cleveland avenue is a hassle and often times people driving don't pay attention to the pedestrians (not the fault of the shopping center), therefore causing accidents and for pedestrians, getting hit or almost hit by a car (I was almost hit a few times and the drivers know there is a WALK sign for pedestrians to walk, they sometimes try to hit you anyway). The actual shopping center itself is decent, it does tend to get crowded after school hours so be mindful of that (and worse in weekends in the afternoon, but that's to be expected). Also...sirens. 9 times out of 10 you will hear sirens from ambulatory trucks and ladder engines going up and down Cleveland avenue. Other than that...

A wide variety of great shopping is located at northern lights. I buy most of my professional attire during Ohio Thrifts half priced Wednesday's, buy most of my shoes at Simply 10, Citi trends or shoppers world and purchase most of my beauty supplies at US Hair. The new Saraga has all kinds of strange and new to me products and restaurants to explore and Clown Cone is and old favorite to take the kids to for ice cream and penny candy. The only draw back is the lack of clear traffic patterns in the parking lot and the constant police presence which seems as if by design. The Clinton township police department probably gets a good deal of funding through traffic stops along this strip of Cleveland ave and the NoLi parking lot, so drive safe and...
