I had an incredible time at Escapology in Clive! From the moment you step in, you’re immersed in a high-quality escape room experience with top-tier set designs, clever puzzles, and an engaging atmosphere.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure you have the best time. They take the time to explain everything clearly and ensure that both beginners and experienced players feel comfortable and excited. The attention to detail in the rooms is amazing—you can tell they put a lot of effort into crafting immersive experiences that feel cinematic and challenging in all the right ways.

One of the standout rooms is the Pirates: The Lost Treasure escape. The set design is fantastic, making you feel like you’ve stepped onto a real pirate ship. The puzzles are cleverly themed, requiring teamwork and creativity to uncover hidden treasures and unlock the next steps. It’s a perfect mix of adventure and challenge, and it’s easily one of the most fun escape room experiences I’ve had!

The puzzles in every room are well-thought-out, creative, and require teamwork, making it a fantastic experience for friends, families, or coworkers. The difficulty levels are well-balanced, with just enough challenge to make you think without feeling impossible. If you get stuck, the game masters are super helpful with hints that keep things moving without giving too much away.

When I posted my previous review, the general manager reached out to me via email regarding our experience, which was not expected but definitely appreciated. We were invited to return to Escapology to give it another try. Our second visit was much different than the first-It was a flawless experience. We had a good time!

Overall, the game itself was fun and well thought out, but the service was not good.

I had made a reservation for Saturday over the phone and they told me that we could make split payments the day we arrive. I thought this was perfect since I had a group of 7 people. When we arrived they told us it would be ~$40 per person. They accidentally charged one person $140 and had to refund her. They didn’t know how to refund her, so they called their supervisor. After this, they charged the last couple $20 extra. When we asked them why, they said that there was about $20 in taxes that they forgot to split up between the group of 7. I was very disappointed because over the phone they told me that they could do split payments, but then they mess up twice while doing so and seemed remorseless. We also had to start the game a little late due to these issues.

We had a very wonderful time today with Callie as our helper! She was very down to Earth and personable. We ran through The Lost City room, and it was a blast. The production quality is VERY top tier; rules were clear-cut, props were sturdy and well-crafted, the vines were perfectly placed (shoutout to Callie), and atmosphere was on point. There were a couple puzzles that we needed hints on, but the room was very fun overall!
