Store Space Self Storage — Attraction in Cocoa

What I rented online and as described online was not the type of storage I received and I was not told the type of storage until I arrived to get access. The storage is not entirely enclosed; instead, it's separated from others like a chain-link fence that rises to the top where others can see your belongings and touch your items if they want to take a broom handle and knock your stuff over.

The description online also states it is temperature controlled. The three times I've went to my storage unit in less than two weeks I've noticed the air conditioner kicks on when the door opens. You can smell the difference between a unit where the air temperature is controlled by a quality storage company versus this trashy one where there is a musty smell. The worst is the dead and live cockroaches throughout the units. yes, I'm going to give my 10 days notice and move on to a reputable storage company where I have a private space, the temperature is actually controlled to maintain my quality items, and, roaches are not rampant. i'll try to take photos when I'm there...

First renting a space and paying online was so simple to do, did not even have to go to the location. I was contacted by a very friendly and helpful Bill , who made sure I could come and get the lock/keys provided since it was over a weekend and the office would not be open. I love the great lock, so easy to use. He showed me my space, where the carts were, how to put in the code for the area my space was. Asked if I needed anything else. Made sure I was aware of hours. Couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The space is so clean, the entire outside area is clean. No smell inside the where the climate controlled unit is. Easy to sign up online, and staff is always super friendly. Has after hours access by gate code and a nice fence all around. I have a 10x15 unit AND a 20ft parking place. I love being able to park my trailer near my storage unit to swap stuff in and out with for different trips. Oddly enough, despite being in the sketchiest part of Cocoa, the extra police presence seems to make this area relatively safe from crime. It's situated so police can see the whole yard and storage doors from the road. Easy to pull a trailer into and out of. Paved access to the storage units, and gravel/sand for part of the long term parking spots. Those are mostly boats and RVs. I got a paved spot and it's perfect for what I needed it for.
