Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Cocoa

It was my very first painting. It was supposed to be done by ME. I turn my back for a minute to talk to a friend and the "helper" person had come to my painting and ran her fingers all over what I had done to "blend" it. Had I wanted it blended, I would have done so. It was MY painting. HOW RUDE!!!! She didn't even ask if I wanted her help. She just took it upon herself to make MY painting the way SHE wanted it. Who paid for the painting?!?!?!? Not going back. VERY UNHAPPY. My experience was RUINED by her inconsiderateness. Taking it upon yourself to do something to something that belongs to someone else is NOT HELPING - IT IS RUDE! I would have posted a private message to them if their "Contact Us" had an email address, but it did not, so I have no choice but to post publicly. Hopeful they will read this review and not ruin anyone else's painting or experience. But in case they don't, don't turn your back on...

It was a great experience. The studio was warm and welcoming. The class itself was fun and we learned some cool painting techniques. They don't serve food or drinks but it's super cool you can bring your own food/drinks in.

I think this is my own personal processing style but if I could improve on something it would be a bit more time spent explaining the painting technique. The teacher was super sweet and you could tell she loved her job. The issue was she spent a lot of time telling jokes. I just personally felt a little confused sometimes and would have liked a bit more instruction and time to process those instructions. This was a fun date night experience so no biggie.

We'll definitely be back and maybe I'll bring a little notepad for my nerdy needs to be...

I am certainly as far from being an artist as one can be. Our artist teacher was awesome and very talented. When I got frustrated with my lack of art painting skills with the basics, she not just helped me but inspired me to trust the process and voila, it worked . I wish I could give her 10 starts for her ability of patience, talent, and mostly not letting me give up. Can't wait to go back and do it again. Thank you so very much for making the class a fun experience. Happy to report my painting actually made it on a wall in my home due to the help of this wonderful lady . your my hero. thanks again ...
