One of the best, if not the best, community theatre out there. Each season, which lasts about 1 year, they do many different shows. These shows can be performed by MANY people. Basically anyone of any age can start their musical theatre journey here, and that is what makes it so amazing. I've watched about 5 shows at this theatre, and they have never disappointed me. I've never walked out of the theatre thinking that the choreography was bad or the actors weren't a good cast. Not only are the shows good, but the people who work and usher there are amazing people as well. If you're younger, you can try out for the Stars of Tomorrow program if your ages 7 to the end of high school. That program has 3 age groups who all perform different shows each season. They also do a Christmas show and Halloween party each year. Broadway on Brevard is their biggest thing here, and they do 5 amazing shows each year, with great set design and even better actors. It really makes you feel like your watching an actual Broadway show for significantly less of the price. Last but not least, they have their Spotlight series. These shows are "short-run productions that are produced by and feature individual performers or groups". Many talented people and groups perform here, like the band Hot Pink and Galmont Ballet. These shows are truly as special as the main productions, and are great. With all these positive things to say about the Cocoa Village Playhouse, it's no wonder they have an amazing community! I'm super excited for this next season! (the wait time really just depends on when you get in the line, but the line moves...

Opening Night of Cinderella!!
My Husband and I flew in from Minnesota last week to stay at our Timeshare in Cocoa Beach and I looked up things to do in the area and it brought up the Plays that were performed at the Cocoa Village Theater and so we booked the play Cinderella a week ago and we went to see it tonight and it was Fantastic!!
The Decor was great in the Theater, they had special Candy and Chocolate treats made up to sell and they had Drawings for a Cinderella Basket filled with Mementos!!
Half of the monies raised would go to The Theater and the other half to a lucky person whose name was drawn!
Everything was so special and the Play was just excellent, it was a large cast and the Performers reacted well with each other! The Colors and the Themes that they painted the Scenery and the Designs of their clothing was Awesome!
Everything was just Fantastic... Wonderful job!!
Some of the future Plays look Wonderful also... A White Christmas will be put on at Christmas time and The Sound of Music will be put on later In the Spring!! I feel like booking another flight down from Minnesota to come and see...
Read moreIt's difficult to convey in a limited space all the totally amazing aspects of the Cocoa Village Playhouse. You will be hard pressed to find finer talent anywhere, not just at other community theaters, but anywhere, seriously. We have been attending performances at CVP for over 30 years. Both of my children grew up in the Playhouse and it was like their second family. They were both in the 'Stars' performing group for children and also performed in numerous main stage productions. Each time we attended one of the shows we were blown away by the talent of so many of the performers. Each production is a work of art and you leave the auditorium with a sense of wonder as to how so much talent can be in one small area and how each performance flows flawlessly. Spectacular is a good word to describe the overall experience you derive each time you step into the Cocoa Village Playhouse! It is unrivaled in every aspect of the...
