Jamerican Lounge — Attraction in College Park

Food and portions were on point. No complaints there. We’re from Michigan and were in town over the weekend. Our friends told us about this spot and we were really excited to try it out. We had a party of 8. We were only there to enjoy the dining experience and get a feel for the vibes to see how we wanted to play the rest of our night. Upon arrival, we were told that we would have to purchase an $100 bottle to sit at a table. Which I absolutely refused because who pays $100 for a bottle just to sit down to enjoy a dinner? Not me lbs so we were told to relocate our seating to the bar. Which we did, no problem. After ordering our food, another server (not our server) told us that we would have to relocate AGAIN because they were about to start removing the chairs from the bar. At this point I’m a bit frustrated but, we obliged. We could only find a 4 seat table so our party was separated. Half of us was at the bar, half at a table. Then, this same server asked me (with attitude) “why didn’t we just stay at the table we were at in the 1st place?! it’s not like we were gonna be waiting long” Mind you, this is our 1st time here. I’m only doing what the servers are instructing me to do. I have no clue how long the wait would be for food or anything else . Either way, OUR server brought out food out. It was delicious, it was filling and our server was really sweet. While enjoying our dinner, we look over to see that same server girl (not our server) taking chairs away from our friends that were eating at the bar. LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM EATING!!!! The music was great and the night started out perfect. The bartender even made my favorite drink, Liquid Marijuana. Before the bar closed, I attempted to order a 2nd drink from the bartender that originally made my drink (over 30 minutes from the bar closing). The bartender took it upon herself to IGNORE my order due to the treatment she received from the customer that was sitting next to me about a food order (not sure what that had to do with me because I just came for the music and drinks). I spoke with the manager who attempted to rectify the issue with a cranberry and vodka (not what I wanted, but ok) along with a lecture from the owner as to why she upholds the bartender's poor customer service decision.

I am by no means stating that it is okay to accept verbal abuse; however, you should address those issues with the customer that caused it. Not the customer sitting next to them (I guess guilty by association).

If you are interested in poor customer service with great music, this is the place for you. For me, I will NOT be back or providing any grand...

This here is a true Bashment kind of spot. If you are from NyC, this is a block party with straight vibes #ifykyk. Very good atmosphere. It's a mix between young and grown, but overall, everyone is cool and laid back. It is a Caribbean spot. They play all types of music since the crowd is mixed. So you gone hear a quick vybz Kartel then some Young Dolph - love it. The food is really good, it's not 5⭐️. But it's good, I never had a to complain about it. The servers here are very nice and diligent. I've been here during packed nights, and each time I receive very good service. Hookah is available here, and it's pretty decent. This is really my go-to spot when I don't want to go all the way to the city. Everyone that comes here comes ready for a good time, so you don't ever be in the middle of weird tense vibes.
