Checkmate Restaurant — Restaurant in College Park

We stayed at the Howard Johnson’s across the street. (Don’t stay there BTW) So we tried Knockouts for dinner. It was an experience. I think they’re mostly a semi-casino. They have games of poker going on that I’m pretty sure most everyone came for. There are two pool tables that were busy too. We were the only white people in the place but everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. Loud, mostly rap music and and comic shows on the big screen TV. The food was basic but good and good prices. BTW, as others have mentioned they allow smoking. I didn’t know there was a place in the US that still did that. There was some sweet smelling stuff...

I feel really safe there was security at the door and it was a very nice greeter host that made sure that she took our money to get inside this place of course but other than that it was lit I came to see my partner blue strip before I'm there is there was open mic I like when there's open mics all around the city especially when the venue is big like this place and even had a projector screen with videos moving behind I like that maybe a nice place to have an event or...

I've been here before... Prior experience was ok too. This time around, there were too many people for my liking. Not scared of corona, but I definitely believe it's real. Masks were not required, so I felt out of place. We stood at the bar for a very long time before being recognized and spoken to. And was told to hold on then, and no one returned to take our order. Ok cool, not comfortable anyway. Let's go get/make our own....so we left. No...
