The Zab-E-Lee experience is something like walking into Harry Potter's Leaky Cauldron. As you step from nearly a completely empty parking lot lined with storefronts (so entirely unimpressive as to make one ponder at what a negative imagination scale might be like) into a comfortable, quaint, Asian-themed restaurant so starkly contrasted with its surroundings in terms of visual appeal, aroma, and geographical feel, you might experience all the effects of a physio-temporal shift akin to stepping out of a souped up Delorean after a ride at 88 mph.
One of the dangers of Zab-E-Lee is returning repeatedly, only to find yourself ordering the same thing you ordered on your first visit every time. You probably thought to yourself, "This is the best I've ever tried. This is my place for ." If you do this, you're missing out on a lot of good , , and my favorite, . Although a simple system of darts (for the unskilled player) might produce a sufficiently random meal choice that will always produce a delicious selection at this particular restaurant, I instead suggest complex algorithm based on the lint pattern of your pocket. Reason being is I don't want to someday find myself eating there with a dart stuck in me because you took me literally.
Service has always been reasonably efficient and friendly. It may take a few minutes to seat your unreasonably large group, but they work hard to accommodate you. Don't sit there for half an hour like a fool, getting angry that they haven't taken care of your check for you. Go up to the cashier and tell them what you had.
Conclusion: Don't eat at Zab-E-Lee. You'll make it harder for me...
Read moreMy second time ordering from this place, last night, the service was horrible. I had family come from out of town, who, wee hungry. I bragged about this place and suggested we order from here. We had two desperate orders. The first order was chicken wings and combo rice with no or carrots. The second was this friend rice with just shrimp and two orders of sushi. The first order, there wasnt any chicken wings. That was the only thing my family ordered. The restaurant was closed, so my sister didn't have anything to eat. To top it off, they gave the second order, all, combo rice with just chicken and shrimp. The second order should have been two thai fried rice with just shrimp. I am allergic to chicken. I couldn't even touch the food. This afternoon, I call, and the owner, Sarah, only, offered me 15% off my next order. After, already, wasting my money on food, I couldn't eat last night and disappointing my guests. Her logic was to bring in the food from last night to trade for them to make the correct order. Anyone, who, is allergic knows that you can't keep food in the house, that you are allergic to. The manager owner refused to rectify or resolve the issue.. Basically, took my money last night, gave me all the wrong order, and this afternoon, basically, shrugged her shoulders with a 15% off my next order. The food here is not cheap, when it comes to price, 15% will, barely, cover tax. I would be a fool to spend my money here, again, considering the lack of consistency, and the horrible...
Read moreDO NOT TRUST THESE REVIEWS. We came in from out of town. According to these reviews this restaurant is great but we had a very different experience. When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant, we were the first customers for the evening. My friend ordered pad thai and shrimp and it tasted pretty okay. I ordered the stir fry brocolli with shrimp and decided to add the scallops since they were $3. I only wanted a little of sauce. The scallops came out raw in the bath of sauce that was served. Our waitress never checked on us so we went 25 minutes before they asked if we wanted dessert. I told them by that point I didn't want dessert and wanted the scallops removed since I scooped all of them out and put then to the side uneaten. They said they could only give me a new order, not remove which I accepted. The waiter (someone different) came out and recieved the old food then came back out less than one minute later with scallops in the sauce that was just on my plate. I hate taken a weird bite out of one of my scallops and saw that exact one floating at the top of the sauce. When I voiced the issue to the person that ended up being the manager she removed the scallops finally. It was a truly terrible experience considering there were only FIVE people in total in the restaurant and three servers. DO NOT COME HERE. IT IS TERRIBLE. For my experience I would give one star.
Also the restaurant is extremely warm and has an...
