JAMERICAN BAR AND GRILL — Restaurant in College Park

In no universe should 2 meals come out to $70 restaurants in a bar. One that is in a shopping center next to hair store and a Hoop Nation. We come here all out of town where there are actual quality restaurants and have been here before, 6 months ago actually, when Meg was in town and for four people with drinks our bill was $70. While we were in there 2 other people complained about their bills. One even spoke to the manager. They add extra fees so they can pack your bill. My hubby and my entree’s were 27, plus a drink and 2 sprites was 18, they added a service fee and a gratuity fee for it to come out to $70. Stay away from places like this. They prey on community loyalty. Added a pic of my bank charge and my food to show this food was good but not worth even half of what was charged. Especially given they just put butter on the broccoli and the greens were so so. Ntm I live with actual Jamaicans. The food could be much better. But I guess in this area you can slap curry and jerk on anything and claim it’s authentic and worth the price. **a reminder that transparency would be putting the price you’re charging a meal on the menu correctly, ass opposed to adding a damn near $30 service that is not mentioned to customers when they order, not on the menu and completely irrelevant for a dine in situation. And even then, a service of more than $10 from a restaurant is completely unacceptable and again shady. The world is big and so is ATL, there will be plenty of Jamaican clubs and restaurants that won’t do bs like this and talk around it with pretty words....

I will NEVER spend my money at this place again. The raggedy "waitress" at behind the bar was Hella Rude. Didn't speak to me, greet me or nothing, and when I asked if she worked there she gestured like duh. Well, I couldn't tell. You nor 3 other girls behind you on their phones acknowledged I walked up and was standing there. She gets the food and then just sits it on the bar after making some slick comment to one of the other girls.Then I get home and of course the food order was f'd up... why would you put a big azz piece of Meat on a Veggie Platter order. Yes, I know the greens are cooked in meat, but I don't want to Eat it which is why the order was a VEGGIE Platter. Complete incompetence from front to back. I got less greens because there's this big piece of meat in its place. The broccoli barely cooked and wasn't seasoned. 🙄

Before I left, I told the white security guard to tell the owner that they just lost a customer, and he says in a surprised voice 'Oh you're not delivery?' Uhh, no, this is My food order -- as if that treatment was ok for a delivery person. Should've come to the reviews before I went up there. The lunch staff is better, which is the only time I've been in there, but it doesn't matter, I'll never give this place my money again. Don't waste your time...

Let me start off saying this customer service is every thing this was my first time visiting this location on last Saturday around 3 something we walked in the lady spoke she had dreads in her head with a NASTY ATTITUDE me & my dude set at the bar she gave us menus so i asked my dude do he still won’t to eat her cause how her attitude was he like yeah let try them out cool so she got our drinks I had a sex on the beach mild wings with Maccheese he had 10 piece lemon pepper with fries & a beef patty so we get the food first off the Mac cheese was cold & nasty so my dude eating his chicken which they was over cooked so he asked her and he don’t complain hey who is the cook cause look at my wings so I’m like my Mac cheese was cold so at this point she still gotta attitude cause her release ain’t come in time so I’m going off on her cause at this point who u think u having attitude with where we spending our money at no ma’am so I’m like get the manager so the manager who is so cool with her employees instead of her job I’m like the Mac cheese was cold she fix our food remind yall we came on happy hour our bill was $70.00 so my dude pay for me I’m like if I was spending my money they would’ve got nothing I will not be coming to this location &...
