UPDATE: I returned to Broni today!! The owner made everything right! My experience today was excellent. No questions asked. Thank you Broni staff and the owner for satisfying me as a customer! You are now 5 star! The food was AMAZING! I’ll see you again!!
I love African food and like to try different places so I gave Broni a try. I ordered Eugsi with Goat meat and a side of Jollof rice. Before I left the nice lady allowed me to see my order and even taste it. Everything was there. The food was great, for the exception that they use canola oil instead of palm oil. Nevertheless I was happy with the flavor and could not wait to get home (45 minute drive home). When I finally get home to eat my meal, I thought I was seeing double. I had two fufu, egusi, and no jollof rice. I quickly called the restaurant and advised them of what was missing from my order. They told me when I come back they would give me my order of jollof ($8) when I came back to the restaurant. She took my name and was very nice about it and I appreciate her understanding. I started to eat my eugsi and goat meat and was enjoying the flavor until I notice something wrapped around a piece of meat. It was a long hair! I could not eat another bite and $30 of my hard earned money was now wasted. I knew it wasn’t mine because I have locs and this hair was wrapped around a piece of meat and in sauce. The owner replied to my review and apologized for the inconvenience. I really hope this issue with the person who answered the phone is resolved. I appreciate the response from the owner and hope to visit this location soon and the experience will be what the reviews stated. I will let them know when I arrive as a heads up
This is probably the worst customer service ever! I placed an order on Uber eats 6 mins prior to the store closing. I placed courtesy call to the restaurant asking the lady who picked up if she would still accept my order. She stated that yes it was ready and that she will push it through as ready so a driver can come get it now. I thanked her and she seemed pleasant. Fast forward to my Uber eats driver arriving and calling me stating that the lady said she told me to cancel my order because she wasn’t cooking! I ask yo speak to the owner /chef who I spoke with and she declined to come to the phone….I could literally hear her say” no no, I’m not coming”. Like why would you allow me to continue my order after I just spoke with you and then turn around and deny me the right to speak to you. I get it’s late but you told me after confirming it was ok to place my order and now no full fill it after you claimed it was ready! Read moreVery bad customer service. They don’t even greet customers, standed there for atleast 5 mins without being acknowledged. I ordered Peanut soup and Fufu. They gave me a pitiful serving of Peanut soup filled with OIL. I opened the container while there to taste it and it was disgusting, so much oil I could not taste the flavor. I almost vomited after trying it. I asked for a refund, she said no lol. The lady took it back and gave another with less oil. Instead of apologizing she got super defensive and rude. She told me next time to just remove the oil myself LMAO WHAT?’ I said for $18 I’m supposed to remove it myself?! The small container it comes with would be basically gone with the amount of oil there was in it. I’ve supported this business atleast 4 times. The first time I went the food was perfect and service was okay but ever since then it’s gone down hill. Service is always bad and the food is terrible. They need to take pride in the food and only give out food that is good.
