This is a very nice place for lower- income seniors and disabled to live, a 7-floor highrise with 1 and 2 BR apartments. Strong feeling of welcome and community among residents, small but nice apartments, large windows in LR & BR. Nice grounds, pavillion, some gardening space, benches alongside building. Units have balcony or patio space. Free parking. The highrise has a laundry room, small library, small workout room, 2 internet-linked desktop computers with printer, large meeting room with attached kitchen, a sitting room, open for use by all residents, as well as an in-house hair salon. There are many activities offered to residents to participate as desired, and a number of local community groups bring their services there on a regular basis for residents to access, such as public library, food bank, health checks and vaccine clinics, as well as simply offering some social and educational activities in the large meeting room/kitchen. New elevators installed this year. Located not far from downtown State College and Penn State University Park Campus, lots of activities of all kinds nearby, lots of support services as well. Grocery, pharmacy, gas, and various other shopping and businesses are within about a half-mile walking distance to Mt. Nittany Residences as well.
