We have made the decision to stop shopping here altogether. We would rather go to a local feed store or TSC. We used to buy their feed for our goats until they stopped getting it for at least 3 weeks if not longer. We would call in daily, stop in and ask when they were getting more in. We would get the same answer "they never tell us", we even had one employee tell us to just switch feeds for a bit, if you know animals you know you can't do that. Don't hire people with zero agriculture/farming background and expect them to be able to sell or even help you with your farming needs. Our most recent tripped is what sealed the deal for us. We needed a hay rack, online said they had it but in store had none. We asked a sales associate for assistance and she gave us a horrible attitude. I've worked retail before and I get it but we just asked for help and instead got yelled at and told we were 1.) in the wrong place and stupid and 2.) If it's not on the shelf they don't have it. She then proceeded to argue when we asked if she knew when they might get them in. She couldn't even check in the back or anything as these are a bigger item and the spot on the shelf was not going to fit them. But no, let's just called the customer dumb and take your attitude out on them. Most of the associates are rude and unhelpful, most of the items are out of stock or discontinued. There is no agricultural care whatsoever, they only care about home decor and clothing making those shopping there for ag needs basically obsolete. Also they should take better care of their chicks because half the time most are dead and the...
Read moreEmployees are rude disrespectful and just don't want to be bothered with anything. Prices are getting out of hand just as any other store that's if you can find a price. Most of the products don't have prices or are in the wrong spots or ring up at a higher price at the registers. Out of stocks are ridiculous... When you rely on a store to have product and you constantly go in and they are repeatedly out of the same products it gets a bit frustrating. Feed and livestock supplies are usually a high out of stock area and as a farmer that needs stuff in emergency situations this is a huge inconvenience to us . And it's consistent the same products always being out of stock like inventory isn't being adjusted to make sure it gets replenished. Also online prices and availability does not reflect actuals in store do not rely on the website for anything. For this store to be classified as a farm store is wrong . They don't care about the farmer but instead focus to impress...
Read moreOriginally placed a tractor order at a Rural King right down the street from me. I was told 5-6 weeks back in October. New years came and went, long story short I made a second tractor order at the State College store while the first order was still open. My State College tractor order was filled and arrived at the store after 4 weeks. This was the 18 week mark for the original order, that was still open. My wife and I were happy to make the 5 hours round trip to pick up our order to bring this 18 weeks of depression to a close. Shawn was a mechanic filling in their tractor ordering position and he was so helpful and answered every question possible. His communication was absolutely amazing. When we made the second order as his store, he called me more times in a single weekend confirming details and asking questions than the employee at the other store did in all 18 weeks. Needless to say Shawn...
