First off let me say the employees are very friendly, The store is also very clean. I would shop here anyday over the Actual Verizon store on N. Atherton street. I was never pressured to buy a phone case or unnecessary screen protectors which do more harm than good. Anyway I ordered a iphone SE2020 128gb which was not in stock so they had to order one in. I was under the impression the phone was to be the same price as everyone else selling them at MSRP of $449. Best Buy currently is selling the phone for $399.99 but I do not like them. When I went in to pick up the phone 5 days later the rep said my total was $585. I was like whoa how much was the phone. He said it was $529.99 since I was to buy it outright and not financing it. I was not aware of this prior to coming in. I needed a phone since mine wouldn't work anymore so I was kinda in a bind and decided to buy it anyway since I needed a phone for work asap. Since I mentioned to the salesman I thought it was to be $449 he helped me out by waving a $15 fee which was very nice and helped some. So when I got home I called one of their other locations just to ask about the price to see if I got taken. They said the rep should have told me I could have financed all but $20 to get the lower price. Then just pay the $20 off the first month. Doing this would have saved me $80 and only paid less than $1 in interest. With the COVID 19 shutdown my wife has not been working so $80 is a lot of money to us. If you do go in make sure you know the price before you go in and get it in writing. I didn't think they were going to charge so much more for the same phone, if I would have known what I know now I never would have purchased from them. Walmart, Target and Best Buy and just about everyone else was selling the same phone Unlocked for $449 if bought outright so $529.99 is quite a bit more. So I feel like it was a bait and switch situation which will deter me from coming back...
Read moreI'm very impressed with the quality of not just products available or location, but the passion the employees have towards their customers. Working at Verizon Premium Retailers in the past and I have focused #1 on customer service and I continue to live by those obligations today. However, this store and this form of Premium Retailer made me feel not like a customer but as genuine family member! This is mom and pop type business trying to survive in world of big box, commercial retail and they nailed it right at the core. Never will I struggle with my phone bill, my upgrades, new technology, or experience the feeling of being robbed for the sake of an employee's commission rate. Everyone owe it to themselves to at least try this location out before simply settling for less. You won't be disappointed as you will become a member of this a Premium Retailer's Verizon Wireless for life. Amazing job East College Ave. location keep up the fantastic work and setting the bar for the ultimate customer...
Read moreIt was time to upgrade our telephones and we have always had an excellent experience at this store in State College. Rayvin helped us find the phones that would fit our needs and got the order processed quickly and without issue. We had to wait about three days to get them but that was reasonable considering they were not available in the store. We were contacted as soon as they were in.
Lasandra took good care of us when we came in to pick up our phones. The store was full of clients and interruptions and she and the others were very patient with all the customers and acknowledged everyone as they entered the store. Lasandra PATIENTLY waited with us as the data was transferred on our phones. Shayla also engaged to help speed up the process as much as she could. They never complained for having to stay past closing time to finish up with us. We appreciated all the help we got from Rayvin, Lasandra and Shayla at this location. Excellent...
