ALDI — Local services in College Township

Went through the line and the line was long, no one at the registers. A worker named Nicole came up and got on to a register with 5 people in like with carts full. Another worker came up and said she could take someone in line. The man in front of us who had less than 5 items went to her line and we followed behind because we only had a couple things. She began to loudly talk to the other cashier about us saying she was not going to help us because she only wanted one person in her line. The other worker began saying she could take people in her line, already having 4 customers in her line. Then told the other cashier she was trying to get us out of her line because she was closed. I’m not sure what was so important in that workers day that she couldn’t spend the 2 minutes it took to ring us up helping to keep the line down. We went there planning to buy a case of carrots and mushrooms. We knew that they were closing early because it was New Years Eve. I needed to use the restroom, when I came out an employee was moving something infront of the hallway and said " I'm blocking these off now"....then we were grabbing the cases and another employee said " We're closing in 7 minutes ". We headed to the register where the cashier was gabbing to someone and left us set everything on the belt only to then tell us, "I can't move these cases, I hurt my back, you'll need to take these back off the belt and put them back in your cart." We were there for a quick trip thru spent like $68 dollars and felt like we were interrupting the employees to help us. From the outset, we felt like this would be a convenient place to pick up quick things instead of dealing with a large store. However, the produce is just ok and the quality of the housewares is subpar. Most of all, we have felt very unwelcome by employees in the store during multiple visits. Most recently, an employee chastised us like children for using a box to carry our groceries, citing it would only make his job harder. With so many grocery stores in State College, it doesn't make any sense to put up with this kind of nonsense. Just go...
