The Colleyville Nature Center is an excellent place to bring the family. The playground and pavilion at the entrance of the nature center doesn't do it justice. Mill Pond has a small dock jutting into it where we saw at least ten turtles swimming in the water. We saw two ducks that promptly waddled into Herman's Pond next to Mill Pond. On the other side of the ponds was a pathway that led into a maze of pathways and bridges near Little Bear Creek. We found an open air pavillion with benches made from wood sitting atop rocks. There even was a man made bat house near the open air pavilion. When we followed the trails to the east we found another pond at the end. Next time we will go further along the trails to the east to find the other three ponds shown on Google Maps and then go west to see the five ponds shown on Google Maps. It was quite drizzly the day we went so we didn't need to imbibe in any of the water we brought but I would suggest to bring some any other day since we found no water sources anywhere in the nature center. Lastly, we saw there were public restrooms near the playground.

The Colleyville Nature Center is a great place to escape into nature! Even though the trees didn't have their leaves yet, it was so beautiful! I love that this place is so close; it is tucked away in a neighborhood so you don't hear many cars driving by. Most of the trails are not paved, but the ground is packed down quite well so it is almost as if they were still paved. There is a small pavilion and playground by the parking lot, and just inside the wooded area there is an amphitheater with stone benches. There is not, however, a bathroom so you'll just have to make sure you plan accordingly.

This park is a restful place. Several ponds to fish and sit by enjoying the peace and beautiful surroundings. There's a playground by the parking lot and restrooms will be soon completed. Picnic tables and benches sprinkled throughout the park. So many different trees, shrubs, birds, ducks- a perfect home- school field trip or weekend outting. You will not be disappointed!

A great escape when you need some fresh air. The park offers over 2 miles of trails for walkers, and bicyclists that meander through wooded paths, over small bridges over the creek. The trails themselves are either cement paths, or dirt trails.

There's also a number of ponds which can be fun for bird watching, and at least one of the ponds can be used for a bit of fishing. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails as well, and there's a couple of spots providing dog waste bags.

At some times during the year, the Nature Center also has some native wildflowers blooming away.

One end of the park has a playground with all the favorites (slide, swings), a covered pavillion, and some other picnic tables.

Keep in mind the park opens 30 minutes before sunrise, until 30 minutes after sunset.

Also as this is a nature center, coyotes have been sighted here previously, so be mindful and respectful of your surroundings.

Please note there are no restroom...
