Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Colleyville

Gave this location another chance and surprise, surprise… they’re out of what we wanted! Out of kolaches. They said they don’t sell a lot of those? I’ve never heard of a Shipley’s donuts not selling a lot of kolaches. Sausage kolaches. When we go to the NRH location, we’ve never had this issue. The excuses also get annoying. I think this place will stay in business due to the location and convenience for families but it does not care to provide great food at the quantities needed. If you want to settle for whatever is left, this is a great location to visit.

What an amazing experience I had this morning!!! I went in to get my hubby his much loved Shipley Apple Fritters. They were OUT!! I jokingly said “Tell me you have at least TWO Apple Fritters hiding somewhere!” The lovely lady responded…”We sure can make you some if you have 15 minutes!!” WOW!!!! YES!!! As I sit here writing this review, waiting for those delicious apple fritters to be done, I am truly grateful for the excellent customer service I have been shown today! Of course, I had to sample some old-fashioned cinnamon rolls (she put extra icing on them because I asked!), some of their cream filled doughnuts and a couple of delicious bear claws! I was even offered a cup of coffee while I waited for the Apple Frittersto be done!! This Shipley Do-Nuts has made my WHOLE DAY!! Do yourself a FAVOR! This location is such a disappointment. The sausage rolls are totally different than any other Shipleys I've been to. They're either raw or so over cooked and dry, plus the sausage is just nasty and not at all what other locations are serving. The donuts are dense and tough, the frosting on the Boston cream was thick and globby- so messy and looked like a 5 year old spread it on with a spoon. Not to mention the service is horrible. No other customers and two employees and it took forever for them to even take my order. Just very disappointed with this location. I've given them two chances and the food quality is so bad, I won't be trying them again. It's worth the drive to Bedford or Precinct line if you want...
