Gateway Convention Center — Attraction in Collinsville

Gateway Center is Amazing, Clean, and has great staff. I go to many conventions there and love it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the conventions i love the most are gaming conventions scrapbooking(because of the stickers) anime, and the Model Train Show. the building is absolutely beautiful. if i had to choose id say Conference wing and Lasalle have a lot of grace and beauty to them but the whole building is beautiful in itself from the Marble Sinks in the restrooms to the Beautiful Glass Rotunda all the way down to the carpeting. I would give Gateway Center 100 Stars if I could. there is Ample parking and their handicapped accessible. If you ever need to hold an event look no further then Collinsville's Gateway Center with all the hotels within walking distance this makes Gateway Center a PRIME location for your event if you forget something at the hotel you don't even have to waste gas in your car for some hotels. They do have Semi Truck docks and Parking for larger events also. Plus there are plenty of Restrooms for your convenience too witch are cleaned regularly. Let me start out by saying that they did do an amazing job handing the wedding, from the communication with every one, to the set up and handling every thing. But after the event they billed us for $120 extra for table cloths. We were told in emails that they were going to be $5 per table cloth via emails and verbally when we toured the place. Then after calling the sales man that we booked the convention center with he basically told us that the rates fluctuate and that we signed a contract that the table cloths were $10. but we had emails with the staff saying they would pro rate us at $5. long story short we felt like we got lied to then they pulled a contract out that we signed saying that we needed to pay that rate. Just felt used and left the whole experience like they didn't care about us after the fact I would strongly suggest that any one having a wedding here SAVE ALL EMAILS, PRINT OUT CONTRACTS AND...

Yeah, this is the first convention center I ever attended. It’s definitely a gateway convention center cause after I attended that Gateway Convention Center, I couldn’t quite quit the conventions or the convention centers. I’d come to consciousness and find myself at a crochet convention that I’d attended just to get into the convention center. Those old bitty’s at that particular convention made me do some crazy things for some yarn and some needles. I can’t even begin to account for what happened at that Shriners convention after all the ecstasy and cocaine…. And midgets…. And that bear…. Anyways, this is a spectacular place to hold your convention or whatever. Just don’t stay at the Hampton Inn nearby so I can sleep and I don’t gotta listen to the fella that works there complain about all you convention attendees acting like you’re the bees knees just cause you’re out of town and thinking about cheating on...
