Tl;DR management is shady at best and fully dishonest. She charged my card for things that she'd told me she wouldn't.
If you stay here, she'll do it to you.
I pulled into this hotel for a 2 day reservation. The manager (we'll call her Billy, though that's NOT what she requested that I call her this morning) was reasonably cordial at checkin. She asked me if I had pets, and I responded that yes, I do have cats. When I appeared distressed about the pet deposit, she told me she'd waive it for me. I thanked her profusely. The next morning, I received a call from her. She was irate. She said Housekeeping had seen a cat in my room. First off, there was a do not disturb sign on the door. They walked right through it. Didn't do any cleaning, just went into the room I'd requested that they not enter. When I brought it up to Billy (aka SB), she said it must have fallen off. But secondly, I told her about my cats before checking in. I carried them through the lobby, singing the song of their people. I didn't hide that they were cats. At this point, Billy the SB is enraged, because I won't take the blame for her assumption. She says she'll do me a solid and let me stay out my reservation. She tells me that I need to CAGE (not crate) my cats for the entirety of my stay. Not just when I was out of the room, but the whole time. I requested late checkout on arrival. She said she was pretty sure that was fine. Which means OK, to me. So at 10 minutes after checkout time, when she came pounding on my door, I wasn't prepared to go yet. I'd made arrangements to stay for an extra hour. It's supposed to be one of my benefits, as a platinum Wyndham member. But she was angry with me, and said she changed her mind. While she was there, my cat was finishing her breakfast. She was out of the crate. And Billy (SB) lost her cool and told me she was calling the police in 10 minutes, because I hadn't followed her ridiculous rule. I was leaving anyway. I found a better motel for a better price. Now I see that Dearest SB (I can't write the name she told me she preferred to be called. It's not polite. But when I asked her to correct the pronunciation of her name, she informed me that it was written on the wall downstairs. OK, SB it is. I call people what they ask to be called) Billy has changed her mind and charged me not only pet fees, but some other bogus fee.
They need new management. The hotel was very clean and quiet, but boy, Billy sure ruined the whole stay. She's trying to make my life difficult. On purpose. Because she didn't listen. My room was not dirty when I left. She just decided that charging someone already struggling some extra fees was going to be fun for her. I hope it was. I sincerely hope that Karma repays her every "kindness" to me threefold.
May you be treated exactly as...
Read moreThe GOOD The beds are comfortable without all the nasty unwashed/reused decorative bed scarfs & pillows. Shower is easy to read & use. Water was nice & hot even for all four of us utilizing in the evening. Good location. Enjoyed the Chicken place beside the property (massive portions btw!) & Colton's (just a 2 min walk across to another hotel) The coffee machine in the lobby was FINALLY stocked on the third day... Phenomenal quality grounds & choice of flavor/strength is provided. The young gentleman attending the desk Thursday morning was very kind & helpful. T.V. was easy to operate & worked well even being a bit small for the room. Clean, working fridge & microwave provided...In room coffee pot too, not that we ever use them. THE NOT SO GREAT Check in here, is a joke. (For diamond members of wyndham) No welcome amenities or suite upgrade. No coffee in the lobby. No information pertaining to our stay was provided (entrances, breakfast, elevator room location, checkout times, wifi) The second level sub flooring is literally crumbling apart underneath the carpet in the main corridor. The flooring into the entrance of the rooms (I don't know the name of it but it's not carpet, in the sink, counter, & bathroom area. Moisture proof/easily mopped...) was yucky with grime & something sticky. Ruined our socks just unpacking. Pool was closed (we expected this, no biggie with covid) but offered a slip of paper for four prepackaged breakfast item choices per room after inquiring. Substitutes of plain instant oatmeal packages were made for us with the twelve or so choices offered, not actually being available. Our 8 year olds Leap pad Epic (kids education tablet) was also left behind...Finally had a response from the hotel after calling 7 times within the two weeks following our checkout. Not recovered of course, but our own fault for not checking before we made our exit. Will be returning to the La Quinta by wyndham (just a parking lot away) for our future stays, as we've had much better...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE. Location is good, lots of restaurants. Staff is not. My bed had stains from a previous guest, I was forced to sleep on those blankets all 4 nights of my stay. My room smelled of wet dog when I walked in, and it was BAD. I have a dog, and I am telling you this smell was insanely bad. Housekeeping refused to enter my room because I brought my dog. They knew about the dog, I paid extra to bring him, and informed them he was in a kennel. They still refused to clean my room, as the housekeeper was terrified of dogs. Billy, the manager, said herself that her housekeeper would not go in because the dog. I asked multiple times for a housekeeper. She finally came in one time, the day before I left. She did not empty my garbage or recycling cans. She remade my bed with the same dirty blankets I asked to have removed. She did not give us toilet paper, that we needed. I had to go to the lobby for garbage bags, for toilet paper, to get my own towels refreshed. Because of the lack of assistance from staffing, the room looked a mass at checkout. Management, Billy, and her receptionist, Julie, both attacked me verbally. They blamed me for the garbage build up, that their own housekeeper left behind. They blamed me for the stains on the bed, from a previous guest. They blamed me for having to clean up vomit (2 kids got sick on vacation) with their towels, when their staff member shut a door in my face when I was trying ask for help with clean up supplies. They refused my deposit. The pool is not available. The manager, Billy, will happily create lies with her staff to keep your deposit. She will NOT even look at the cameras to confirm what I told her. I contacted Wyndham, and even they do not care about managements actions at this property. There is a reason their parking lot is basically empty, DO NO STAY HERE. Side note: the receptionist who checked me in was the only good person on staff. Thank you madam, for being kind to your guests. You are noticed, and...
