I don't go to the salon very often anymore, because it's no longer an enjoyable experience. Now I only go when I have to (like needing a pedicure before an event, etc.) I have tried one place after another over the last few years because it's been hard to find a nail salon that I've been super happy with. I'm easy going and not even a picky person, but it seems that the customer service is always either OK, but the prices are too much (or they nickel and dime you to death for even the most basic services that used to be included), or you feel rushed because they are trying to crank as many people through as possible, and the staff seems irritated. I needed a pedicure for an upcoming party and 5G Nails and Spa had great reviews online, so I tried them out today. I never leave reviews, but I feel like I have to because I was so impressed! Firstly, the entire staff was so friendly. Not just the people I worked with, but watching other interactions throughout the salon, ALL of the staff was kind and seemed genuine. Secondly, I didn't feel rushed, at all! They were ready for me at my appointment time, and still told me to take my time finding a polish color. I didn't take too long, but later, my nail tech (after doing a few toes, before she continued to paint and then cure the gel polish) asked me if I liked the color. It was pretty, but actually, it wasn't quite what I was hoping it would be. I was hesitant, but said it was OK, and it was, but she asked if I'd like to choose another color. I ended up agreeing to look at the colors again and apologized, and she said there is no need to apologize, it's just a color and it could easily be changed! She told me to take my time finding one I really liked! (She was the second person that told me to take my time). Third, on the menu for services, they have it highlighted (!) that this is time for you to relax and unwind, and highly encourage you to not be on your phone, so you can be in the moment. I was in the middle of working on something when I came in and was just going to finish it while I was sitting there, but decided to just enjoy the experience. It was wonderful. The best I've had in years. Lastly, the prices are comparable to other salons, if not more reasonable. Not to mention, they actually included things that I would normally get charged for, $5 here, and $10 there, at other salons! They also give high school students a 10% discount every time, and all patrons get 10% off of their first visit. This is the first time in forever that I felt like the business was actually here to serve and love on their patrons and not just to try to make as much money as possible, which, of course, makes me want to spend my money here! I tipped well because they absolutely deserved it! The search is over, people. This is the place that will get my return business. Thank you 5G Nails and Spa, for actually creating an environment that I wanted to be in, and recommend to others. You are doing...
Read moreIt was my first time coming to the shop, my current nail tech relocated out of state, and so my friend who is regular customer of this shop, bought me a gift card to try the nail shop to see if it's one that I could continue to come to, and I can say that it was my first and last. As far as the salon itself, it was a really beautiful salon, but I'm just not happy overall, with the service I received, I was not happy with the nails and the work that was done, I showed the girl the nails that I was looking for (a picture) , I already explained to her what I wanted. I told her I wanted coffin and they were not my kind of coffin &the nails were so big, bulky , &wide. She was struggling when she was doing my nails and needed assistance from another tech to help her. I feel like, overall, she was just nervous. I don't know why she did my nails the way that she did, but it just didn't come out the way that I wanted them to and for what the price they were. When I was done, I went up to the register and she originally was going to charge me $80. Thats what she said when I went up and the man that was working there came up to the register right away and told her something in another language and my price went up to $115! I didn't even get my toes done!! Which I always do but with the way my nails turned out I didn't want to chance my toes. I ended up calling in about couple days later cause my nail popped off with the acrylic and it looked just like a regular press on nail. I was so upset that it broke! In that amount of time. They weren't worth the price to me at all. The girl that I talked to rescheduled me but I don't live in co springs also so it's a mission for me to just come up& have a nail fixed. So I thought about It and they just don't satisfy me to my wants and so I decided not to fix them and just continue looking for...
Read moreJust here to comment on a variety of things during my experience- all fantastic in every sense. I was on my way home when I called 5G nails to see if they could get me in for a gel manicure. Johnny (pardon my spelling if this is not correct) answer the phone and let me know that they could get me in within 10 minutes. When I arrived, I was politely greeted by Johnny and his staff. I waited no more than five minutes, and they started immediately on my manicure. Not only was a service great but Johnny was really polite and professional When interacting with other clients coming in for walk-ins and for appointments. They seem to get a little busy for about 10 to 15 minutes during my service, but Johnny handled everything with ease. I think this is really big for me because he continued to be polite and professional, even though it seemed like things could get a little chaotic at times(phone ringing/multiple walk ins) During my service, Johnny educated me a little bit about what I should ask for next time I have my nails done and how to keep up with my manicure. The salon was clean, and well kept, I receive timely service, and I was treated kindly. I have been to other places but did not receive the same service. I found my new nail spot. Thank you 5G...
