This was an annoyingly avoidable situation. I am a long time user of lover and user of the app, website, and calling in for orders. I tried to place my order online and was denied delivery by the app because my order was $11.99 and the minimum delivery fee is $12.00....... ONE PENNY. My order was for 2 pizzas. One of them was free because I was using MY REWARDS points. So I attempted to call the store and see if I could place the order that way instead since it's just... ONE PENNY. This is my -FIRST- encounter with the "lovely" person they have answering the phones named "Lauren" "Loren". I don't know how she spells it, I should have asked. First of all, she has a really bad attitude and should NOT be the one talking to customers. I explain the situation above to her and she's like, "If the app couldn't do it, I can't do it" with an attitude. I'm like... Wow, Okay cool. So in the end, I just go back to the app and add an extra item on to meet the $12.00 minimum. I add the cheapest thing I can find. 1 Side of Marinara sauce for .79 cents. Whatever. While I am placing the order I literally tell my wife. "I bet I don't even get the marinara." That's exactly what happens. Now at this point, I could care less I didn't get the marinara. But it's just principle at this point. I wouldn't have even ordered if that single penny didn't make or break my order. I call back to the store and I simply want my 79 cents back. But I get the "WONDERFUL" representative "Lauren" again. She gives me so much attitude and sass. I could care less about 79 cents, I could care less about the sauce. It's just the principle I had to order it in the first place. So just give me what I paid for. Lauren goes... WITH ALL THE ATTITUDE IN THE WORLD, "The marinara...? So what, you want me to send a driver back to you for the marinara?" At this point I'm like, "yes. Send a driver with marinara. It's not my problem at this point you should have gotten the order right". I literally did not even going to eat the sauce. I threw it away immediately once it arrived because I don't want some spiteful marinara that the driver is going to spit in or something at this point.
I love Pizza hut. I eat way too much of it if I'm being honest. Case and point, I was using rewards points I earned eating pizza hut. It's not about the 79 cents. I could care less I didn't get the sauce. But that Lauren woman, is terrible at her job and lacks people skills. And this experience alone will likely me to think twice about ordering Pizza Hut again.
That being said, food was fantastic. I would rate 5 stars for food. Again, I love Pizza Hut. But this whole experience and the difficulties met just to order it, Leave something...
Read morePlaced an order at 6:15pm, I watched the “tracker” for about an hour and a half, it said my food was being made. When I called to check on it, he said, “Sooo... We send your pizza out for delivery and the driver tried to call the number you had on file, and it went to a dial tone, so he just came back with the pizzas and we deemed it undeliverable.” I asked him, “What phone number did I give you?” He put me on hold for about 4 minutes, then got back on the phone and said, “I’m sorry, we can’t really disclose that information to you, because it’s private. Like, I know you’re the one that gave it to us, but yeah...” I then explained how none of it was making sense, I’m the manager of a business, and in the instructions I clearly stated which business I’m at. I wasn’t sure why they would need to call me in order to deliver my order...? He said, “Would you like to speak to my manager?” I agreed, and he put me on hold for another 3 minutes. Same guy got back on the phone, and said, “So we have your pizzas here... would you like us to bring them back to you?” And I asked, “Is your manager dodging me?” He said, “Nah, she’s not dodging you, man. She’s just with another employee.” I don’t know what happened, or where the confusion was, but it seems this location needs better training, and maybe some more...
