I think there are some issues with this property. People are correct. The hotel is brand new, and spotless. Housekeeping did a great job, and my wife particularly appreciates that. Check in/out staff were very polite and pleasant.
The rooms are nicely appointed, if you like a minimalist, modern kind of thing. Lobby is nice and so is the size of the breakfast room. The bathroom is nicely appointed as well. It is nice to have a walk in shower with a new glass door, however, the shower itself is very narrow, and not super comfortable to take a shower in. Also, while the hot water is plentiful, the water pressure is just so, so. If you are to go to the restroom with the bathroom door opened, it is just too small. Your knee crashes into the door. The bathroom is just too small. The room is large, and they could have easily sacrificed some of that room and given it to the bathroom.
The rooms have a nice sized mini fridge, with a reasonably sized freezer on top. Can easily freeze packs for your cooler. Bed was reasonably comfortable. The AC worked very well. There is a decent sized safe in the closet, which is really nice.
Breakfast was the other issue. They say on weekends that they served until 10am. But let me tell you, you had better get down there by or before 9:30. By then they have started running out of food and they will NOT replace anything at that point. We arrived on Sunday at 9:30 and got the last 2 pieces of sausage and the last two scoops of scrambled eggs (that were fairly cold and dry by then). I got the last yogurt, and my wife could not get one. My wife went in the kitchen and asked for a muffin, and they did give her one. There was one bagel left, which we did not take. They did have good green chili for the eggs, and the coffee was good.
We had experience the same thing on Saturday. The bacon was completely gone, the coffee nearly empty and my wife only got the last dry scoop of eggs. When I asked for more coffee, they said they will only empty things at this point, not refill. They told me to get coffee by the front desk. Those were empty too. After 10 minutes, they brought out more pots. On Sunday a group of three woman traveling, I think from France (they sounded french), came down at 9:45. There was really nothing left. They were indigent. They kept saying "we were told 10am, we expect to be able to get something at 9:45am!" After a lot of discussion, the kitchen finally scrambled a small amount of eggs for them. The only other thing I saw them get was some fruit and coffee.
They really need to admit that they only serve until 9:30 (I assume an hour earlier on weekdays), or tell their kitchen staff they have to have decent, edible food...

Best Western Plus / Executive Regency 3150 N Chestnut Colorado Springs, CO 80907
My Family and I were very excited to stay here, considering they had a 9.6 star ratings/review. Let's just say - Don't believe the HYPE. My wife is 8 months pregnant and we wanted to get 1 last vacation in with the kids before the inevitable, so we booked a room here.
Before Noon, I contacted Best Western Plus to see about getting in a few hours early due to my Wife feeling sick and tired. We were told they could not accommodate us because they were understaffed and nothing was ready. I said that was fine, but to please make certain that we can get in at the regular check-in time of 3pm due to my Wife not feeling well. I was told not to worry about a thing and this would all be handled,
Long story short, we gave them an additional hour and arrived at 4pm, only to be told that none of the rooms were still not ready yet and we would have to wait until 6pm. Many other upset customers were told the same, even though some were from out of state. In return for our patience and their lack of customer service, we would get 1 free beer - Unbelievable!
I have a limit of text here so cannot go into detail. So, let me just list the issues here:
-Management made false promises to get us a discount or free stay, then completely ignored us until we left. In fact, he told us he would get back to us as soon as possible - never even heard from the guy! -Front desk is in a chaotic mess due to under-staffing. No one knows left from right. -Heated pool was freezing [Don't bother, because this is the size of a large fish tank. No hot tub. -Windows would not open in the room
I sent both Corporate and Fillmore Inn the same letter regarding our really bad experience here, and we received a letter back saying there was nothing they could do. Some 'Executive Regency' hotel this was!
All in all, you are MUCH better off getting a room at the Great Wolf Lodge, where customer service is bar none! Staybridge Suites is also a good customer oriented hotel. As numerous Employees have stated they have a consistent under-staffing issue, I do not believe this to be an isolated incident. In any case, we were not the only ones who experienced these issues.
I travel a lot within my company so I am in hotels a great deal. I have no problem paying top dollar for good service, but in this case - take it from me and leave this one well enough alone! To Best Western - remove the 'Plus' from your name, because if you cannot deliver your own claims stated in your 'Service Promise', then you're better off just being yet...

The greeting at check in was a bit suspect because of JoJo. At first I thought it was me. I was tired from the long drive and a bit weary. The check in was smooth but JoJo was quite brisk and almost rude. I played it off. After being a rewards member for 13 years, this is not my first establishment.
We found our room not just clean but clearly well planned for someone to be comfortable and have everything they need. The kitchenette was a special touch, complete with dishes, real silverware glasses and even pots and a couple of skillets for us to cook in during our stay.
The breakfast was on point! Leslie was welcoming and a real joy to have as the breakfast server! She was friendly and spirited!
In the evening they have a unique touch by serving hot food beyond your normal "happy hour" time. Everything from Nachos to Pizza and Wings! A full service bar topped everything off. Even though I don't drink alcohol, I was still quite impressed with the collection of spirits avaliable and a very knowledgeable bar tender who also served as the "cook". It was a perfect way to spend the evening. Almost like your own personal "Sports Bar!"
All in all, this was one of the best experiences with Best Western I have ever had! With the exception of JoJo!
As I mentioned in the beginning, my first experience with her was brisk. However, after multiple days, it was clear this is who she is: a dissatisfied rude employee! I have never been treated so rudely at a hotel EVER! I am not normally one to complain. But I felt it important to call her out by name this time! This hotel deserves a 5 star rating! From Danielle to Leslie and even my brief experience with Bailey, the employees are wonderful! They all make you feel like you are supposed to be there, comfortable and welcome. When JoJo "rolled her eyes at me" and refused to acknowledge me when I simply asked for directions to the ice machine on the first floor, only to snap at me with ambiguous "North, South" directions, I just walked away.
As a business owner, I couldn't have an employee representing my company with that kind of behavior. As a rewards member, it's embarrassing to think this is what others see about my brand. As a guest... I simply was willing to end my stay.
With all of that said, I can't deny the rest of the quality amenities and wonderful staff! And, with the exception of one, it is definitely the superior hotel to stay with if you travel to...
