CHēBA HUT "TOADTED SUBS" shares a parking lot with two other establishments. The staff is nice, ranch tastes homemade and the marinara sauce is made chucky with tomatoes. Drinks are self-serve. Choose form three kinds or bread and three sizes. Dine-in, take home or even order for delivery with Grub Hub. A catering menu is also available. When you arrive through the doors, you can instantly feel the casual atmosphere with a crack running almost the length of the concrete floor, with wooden tables and booths, plus metal chairs and 3 TVs for viewing pleasure. You will also find marijuana and Garden of the Gods decor throughout the establishment, to include a large painted mural with Gods and Godesses enjoying various forms of cannabis, such as using a lightening bolt to light a pipe. Menus available to view as you walk in and down towards the register, but is also available above the counter, where you order (or order at the bar), in front of the open kitchen....only reading the latter menu will you find the Secret Stash options. After you order for dining in, you are given a table marker with a picture, such as Beastie Boys and Space Jam....if you order to-go, your name is called. Children are welcome, as suggested by the cheanging station in the restroom and the plastic highchairs, but with this location bringing in a true working crowd, I'm unsure how many children actually dine in. On a nice day you can enjoy outdoor seating, to include bar seats, as it looks like the windows roll up, similar to a garage door. Find the logo on the paper under your food as well as the cups (the cups also showcase Flip, a sandwich smoking blue bird. While the staff occasionally walks the restaurant, remember to bus your own table, but don't throw out the black...
Read moreI hate that I’m even writing this review seeing that Cheba Hut is one of my favorite places in the Springs; however, I feel like this needs to be seen. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar. The bartender made me feel VERY uncomfortable. She ONLY communicated with my boyfriend and DID NOT even acknowledge me. She takes our order but ONLY ASKS MY BOYFRIEND WHAT HE WANTED. She rang in his order only and I was stunned that she completely ignored me. After multiple attempts to get her attention, my boyfriend finally had to say something so my order could get rang in. After 10 plus minutes she rings in my order and didn’t even apologize? THEN she asks to see my boyfriend’s phone? She holds his phone, looks at it and again, ONLY TALKS TO HIM. My boyfriend gets his food first. I’m sitting there with no food for like 15 minutes. When she asked if everything was okay, SHE ONLY ASKED HIM AND NOT ME? THEN, at the end of service, she tells him, because at this point apparently I’m a ghost, says “cash tips are appreciated because she doesn’t get credit tips the same day.” I cannot believe this experience seeing that nothing like this has ever happened to me at Cheba, much less anywhere else in my life EVER. Horrible experience. Will not be returning to this location if she is still there. Food = amazing. Service = ABSOLUTELY...
Read moreWent in to our favorite sandwich shop and sat at the bar as we always do. This bartender “Brittany G” for the third time didn’t greet us, and rolled her eyes as approaching the bar. We saw a QR code so asked if menus went digital since none provided and she said “I haven’t wiped them down yet because I’m still opening by bar.” (They open at 10am, and we arrived after 10:30) we proceeded to request a menu and she slowly cleaned one menu for the both of us. Once we received the menu she stared at us awkwardly not asking if we wanted anything to drink to the point we had to ask for waters to break the silence. It seemed like she was incredibly annoyed to simply do her job to the point we decided to only get our waters and pretzel nugs. Typically we order drinks and sandwiches and she literally ruined our appetite. I hate to give a negative review because I love this place but since it’s been 3 times now it’s to the point where if we walk in and see her we’re going to turn...
