I visited the Waffle House on Fillmore recently, and while I didn’t expect much more than a quick breakfast fix, I left genuinely impressed — mostly because of the service. Our waiter was truly awesome. He greeted us right away with a smile, made sure our table was clean, and stayed attentive throughout the meal without ever feeling overbearing. What really stood out was how he handled my iced coffee request. Waffle House doesn’t normally carry iced coffee (which I already knew going in), but he went out of his way to work something out for me. That kind of effort is rare in a fast-paced diner setting, and I really appreciated it. It wasn’t just the service — he made the whole experience feel more personal. The food was exactly what I was craving: simple, hot, and cooked just right. I got the All-Star Special with a waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns. Everything came out fresh and fast — the waffle had that perfect soft center and crispy edge, and the hashbrowns had just the right golden crisp. As far as the restaurant itself, the atmosphere was what you’d expect from a Waffle House — small, busy, and a bit chaotic, but that’s part of the charm. I’ve read reviews where people complain about cleanliness or rude staff, but honestly, I didn’t experience any of that. The kitchen looked clean, the floors were maintained, and the staff seemed to work well as a team. You can tell they’ve got some regulars too — always a good sign. If you’re looking for fine dining, this obviously isn’t the place. But if you want classic diner food at a good price, with surprisingly great service, this Fillmore Waffle House is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back — and fingers crossed I get the same waiter next time.

I am OTR all over the country and look forward to states with Waffle Houses. This particular location was by far, the best! I had a fabulous, attentive waitress and watched another employee cleaning her station the whole time I was there. I've never seen anyone actually scrape and clean a waffle maker! Now, to explain my photo- this is exactly what I asked for. I requested scrambled eggs, well done and burnt raisin toast. Easy enough right? This request is rarely fulfilled. My grits were hot and smooth, the coffee excellent as usual and the sweet tea I got to go was sweetened to perfection. I can't forget the senior gentleman that was greeting and seating, his presence made things upon entering rather smooth. Back again on my way home from Phoenix! This location is closest to I-25. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the girls behind the counter. Kaylee or Kylee took care of me and she was such a bright start to a day. I once again requested burnt raisin toast and was much abliged. All Waffle House locations should strive to be as awesome as this one. The positive attitude of the employees here need to be the example set for all. I'm sorry I live 800 miles away.

Usually, we love this Waffle House for the great service and cleanliness but only in the mornings.. We came in at 1 PM and had a terrible experience. I ordered the All-Star Special and asked for my hash browns smothered and covered with eggs over easy. Instead, I was served plain hashbrowns and over-hard eggs with no runny yolk. When they took it back, my bacon and toast never came. As I waited, I noticed our server (her name was ML and she is an older rude lady) looking over at our table but purposely avoiding us. She was attentive with other guests, but not with us. It felt like we were being discriminated against because we are Hispanic.. To make matters worse, we saw a roach crawl across our table and silverware. When we told her, she was dismissive and only offered $2 off, even though I never got my bacon or toast and didn’t get to even eat my eggs, hash browns or my waffle.. Her attitude was rude, like we were the problem. This completely ruined our visit. If you go, avoid the afternoon.. the morning crew is great, but after 12 PM, it’s a different story.

If you are not ready for a 5 star experience at Waffle House don’t come to this location because that’s exactly what you will get! VAL was amazing to say the least. I was shocked that my drink kept getting refilled, there were times where I didn’t know if this was really reality or if I was dreaming. My food came out so quick I was upset. Other Waffle Houses in TX have given me the expectation that it will take 30+ minutes minimum to get my order & to only expect 1 refill if that during my visit. Sadly I will never know these pleasure outside of Colorado as this Waffle House as well as VAL have spoiled me for life! Even as I wrote this review I am saddened when I visit a Waffle House in Plano, TX the experience wont be quite like it was with VAL. She was so polite when greeting me as I walked in. That threw me off right from the get go. I placed my order quick and I kid you not I would say maybe 5 minutes tops or less passed and I got all my food so shoutout to the cook as well she wasn’t playing games when it came to that grill. Had me 2 waffles, chicken patty melt w/ 2 orders of hash browns, pork chop & grits w/ 2 orders of hash browns. I almost feel embarrassed I didn’t take a pic as now people won’t believe me. Anyways yeah come here if you want your belly’s full and want great service! Also it want a dull moment here I witnessed a low rider hit his switches outside & a u-haul do a hit and run on the poor cooks Trailblazer so there was that. Thank you for your service VAL I hope Waffle House gives...

I've ate at WaffleHouse on multiple occasions in multiple locations over the years. Upon visiting this particular location (1st time since the new facelift) my wife accompanied me during my business deliveries. On our way home after 9pm, we stopped in to eat. Staff was well managed and we were waited on immediately. When our order came, my hash browns, I felt were spot on. My wife's however were burnt to the point they were noticeably black n crisp to shatter upon putting a fork to it. My eggs (over easy) were barely even cooked. Egg whites were white kinda, but more under done that they were Very runny that it looked like water in my plate that the egg whites were still raw. Also, my wife's bacon was Burnt Crisp black burnt. When another order was brought, they were 100% perfect!! When I complained about my wife's hash browns being burnt, they were replaced with a new order. Still Overdone n black burnt edges. The cook I feel failed any cooking school that he may have ever attended or was self taught. The 2 stars that I posted for a rating are directed more at our waitress. There was only 5 tables seated, including ours. Over staffed with 6 staff which...
